NBA All-Star Game 2025: Bracket, Team Names Unveiled for New Tournament Format

The NBA has announced the semifinal matchups and team names for its new four-team format at the All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. ET (TNT).

Charles Barkley's "Global Stars" will take on Kenny Smith's "Young Stars" in the first matchup, while Shaquille O'Neal's "OGs" will face Candace Parker's "Rising Stars" in the second matchup.

O'Neal is already placing bets with Parker, confident in his squad:

While an All-Star draft is nothing new, the NBA is turning to a mini tournament this year to spice up the event. The 24 All-Stars were split into groups of eight, with Shaq, Chuck and Kenny serving as the three honorary general managers, while Parker will be the honorary GM of the Rising Stars champion team that will serve as the fourth team in the tournament.

The voting process for the All-Stars remained intact, however, with five "starters" from each conference determined by fans (50 percent of the vote), current NBA players (25 percent) and media members (25 percent).

The All-Star Game prize pool will be $1.8 million, with each winning player receiving $125,000, while players on the runners-up will receive $50,000 and players from the third and fourth place teams will earn $25,000.

Kevin Hart will serve as emcee for the event, the first time the All-Star Game has had an emcee.

The NBA felt the need to make changes after last year's All-Star Game was met with poor reviews.
