Detroit Tigers Have Officially Caught Fire
I’ve been on my way back out to Connecticut the past few days and have not been able to watch the Tigers all that much. I follow on MLB.TV, I listen on the radio, and if I’m really desperate, I just follow along on my phone.
No matter how I’ve been following the team, the result has been the same: The Tigers win.
The Tigers have the day off today, which has to be a pretty nice treat for the holiday. They just wrapped up a sweep in Tampa Bay against a Rays team that really needed the wins.

The Tigers' next 10 games will be played against the Kansas City Royals and the Toronto Blue Jays, two teams that lost their playoff dreams back in May. They are playing for the future and should not provide much of a road block for the Tigers as they look to lock up the division.

I don’t want to jinx this, but September is shaping up exactly the way any fan would want for their team. The Tigers should be able to get all of their ducks in a row for the postseason.
Detroit heads from Tampa to Kansas City and starts a three game series against the Royals on Tuesday. Rick Porcello is scheduled to start.
