Blue Jays Match Franchise Record with 11th Consecutive Win
The Toronto Blue Jays stayed hot Sunday afternoon, crushing the Boston Red Sox by a score of 13-5 to match the franchise record of an 11-game winning streak, per ESPN Stats & Info.
Following three scoreless frames to start Sunday's game, the Blue Jays put up six in the fourth inning and four in the fifth inning, taking an early 10-0 lead at Fenway Park.
Although the Red Sox bounced back to score five runs in the bottom of the fifth, Blue Jays second baseman Ryan Goins essentially put the game away with a two-run double in the seventh after hitting a three-run homer earlier in the game.

It was easily the least dramatic victory in Toronto's three-game sweep of Boston, as the Blue Jays erased an 8-1 deficit Friday night and then won 5-4 in 11 innings Saturday.
Although the team's pitching staff has done its part, the remarkable Toronto batters are largely responsible for the record-tying winning streak, with the team averaging a whopping eight runs per contest over the 11-game stretch, per Sportsnet Stats.
The Blue Jays are the first team since the 2004 Houston Astros to average eight or more runs per game during a winning streak of 11 or more games, per Sportsnet Stats.
Now, the Jays will look to grab sole possession of the franchise record for consecutive wins, with pitcher Mark Buehrle scheduled to face New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard at Citi Field in New York on Monday.
