5 Barcelona Youngsters Who Could Taste First-Team Action in 2015/16 Season
There are bound to be a few casualties from Barcelona's treble-winning season.
Those players who perhaps haven't played as much as they would've liked, and who for a variety of reasons just cannot make an imprint on the side.
Should some fringe players like Martin Montoya, Sergi Roberto or Marc Bartra be moved on then Luis Enrique will need to pad out his squad with some of the youth players at the club.
The odd La Liga game and some Copa del Rey experience might be the best that the next crop of Barca B graduates can hope for at this stage, but some important minutes here and there will at least give them a platform to build from with the senior side.
Let's take a look at five players who could well be called upon in 2015/16...
Alejandro "Alex" Grimaldo
1 of 5
Alejandro "Alex" Grimaldo will have to fight back from another serious injury to ensure that he gets on the pitch for the senior team on a regular basis next season.
The young left-back has all of the attributes to become a superstar and if anything just lacks the pace that gives Jordi Alba the edge at this juncture.
There's little doubt that Grimaldo is coming up on his coat tails, however, and he has been one of the most solid performers in the Barca B side over the past couple of seasons.
A wise old head on young shoulders, Grimaldo has more than served his apprenticeship and now needs to take his career to the next level.
Promotion due.
Adama Traore

Adama Traore has every chance of getting a look in next season, even though Neymar and Luis Suarez's back-up, Pedro Rodriguez, has decided to renew his contract.
The reason is simple. He offers something completely different.
Powerfully built with a muscular physique, Traore is at his best when bearing down on defenders in the direct style that underscores his performances.
There's nothing fancy about him, Adama just gets on with it. Lightning fast, especially for someone so robust, he is a fearsome opponent and many defences have already been unsettled by the no-nonsense nature with which the youngster goes about his duties.
He only played for a few minutes against Huesca in the Copa del Rey last season, but he still managed to get on the scoresheet.
A real handful.
Sergi Samper

A future Barca captain in the making, it's about time we saw much more of Sergi Samper.
He has been knocking on the door for a while now and has already shown that he can more than hold his own with the big boys.
Who can forget his spectacular debut against APOEL last season when he was the best player on the pitch with a 92 percent passing accuracy.
His talent is wasted in the Segunda B division and Luis Enrique simply has to find the room for him in the senior side.
Rather than going out and potentially spending €80 million on players, why not cast more than a beady eye on what's already in situ?
Sergi Samper certainly won't let anyone down.
Alen Halilovic
4 of 5Alen Halilovic continues to excel in Blaugrana.
His goal against Girona (above) was one of Barca B's best of the season.
Yet the young Croat isn't happy, with Liam Corless of the Daily Mirror revealing that Halilovic has said "I can't talk about [leaving] but we will see what I decide this summer."
The inference is clear. Play me or I go.
While Barca won't be happy about being held to ransom, allowing Halilovic to walk is something the club simply cannot allow because the player is just too good.
If they are unable to blood the "Croatian Messi" on a regular basis, then surely there is space on enough occasions to sate the player's appetite.
Halilovic has fitted wonderfully well into the Barcelona style of play, and given time, he will surely become a stalwart of the Barca midfield.
Edgar Ie
5 of 5
Edgar Ie could be about to get his big break in Barca's defence should there be a clear out of current understudies.
Ie has been a sterling performer in Jordi Vinyals' side whenever called upon, and with a skill set that affords him opportunities at both centre-back and right-back, Ie would have no problem making the step up.
Twenty-nine appearances in the last campaign is the most he's played in a season for the Blaugrana after a succession of injuries curtailed his early Barca career.
After making a fleeting first-team debut last season, he noted via FCBarcelona.com: "I’m really happy with my debut.
"I have the manager’s faith and now I just have to work ever harder … My team-mates told me to push more and not leave any gaps open."
Time to grab his chance in the limelight.
