WWE SmackDown Spoilers: Complete Results and Analysis for May 21
With Payback in the books and Elimination Chamber just over a week away, WWE rolled into the historic Norfolk Scope for SmackDown.
Seth Rollins will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Dean Ambrose in the main event of that pay-per-view, and Tuesday night, they wrote the latest chapter in their feud.
At the order of Director of Operations Kane, Ambrose had the opportunity to avenge his loss to Bray Wyatt from Raw as he battled the Reaper of Souls in the main event. With Rollins and J&J Security in the building, it was obvious the Lunatic Fringe would have to hold off the Authority members in order to leave with a victory.

Analysis
The show is bookended by Reigns and Ambrose, who are two of the hottest stars in the industry right now, so that was a great booking decision. Scheduling a rematch between Ambrose and Bray Wyatt just one night after their excellent Raw match was an even better decision because those who appreciated the showing on Monday night now have a reason to tune in Thursday.
Dolph Ziggler and Lana's blossoming on-screen relationship is spotlighted as the Ravishing Russian provides motivation for the Showoff in his match against Bad News Barrett.
One of the great things SmackDown has done recently is give talent not heavily featured on Raw the opportunity for some screen time. Heath Slater, Adam Rose, R-Truth and Stardust are just a few to use SmackDown as their chance to bask in the spotlight.
The Fatal 4-Way match pitting the top tag team contenders in WWE against each other could very well steal the show. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd are among the most consistent in-ring performers in the entire company. Add them to a field that includes the excellent Sin Cara and Kalisto, resurgent Ascension and underrated Los Matadores and the ingredients are there for a high-quality bout.
