Eddie Rosario Becomes 29th Player to Homer on 1st Pitch of Career
Twins outfielder Eddie Rosario became the 29th player in MLB history and the first player in Twins history to hit a home run on the first pitch of his major league career when he took Oakland Athletics pitcher Scott Kazmir deep in the third inning of Wednesday's game, per MLB Stat of the Day.
Rosario also became the first player to accomplish the feat since Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte in 2012, per ESPN Stats & Info. Unfortunately, it was the only hit of the day for the youngster, who went on to finish with one hit in four at-bats.
He then added a single and two RBI in three at-bats during Thursday's game, which the Twins won 6-5 over the A's.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The 23-year-old took five seasons to progress from rookie ball into the majors, beginning his 2015 campaign at Triple-A Rochester before an injury to Twins outfielder Oswaldo Arcia opened up a spot on the roster.
Despite relatively low expectations entering the season, the Twins have managed to scrape together a 16-13 start over the first five weeks. While it's a small sample size at this point, the team has still shown some promise.
What should make fans even more excited about the club moving forward are some of the prospects the club has within the organization. Along with Rosario, the Twins boast five of the top 100 prospects in baseball, according to Baseball America.
Rosario will likely remain with the Twins at least until Arcia returns from a hip injury, but a strong showing could lead to a permanent stay with the club.
Even though the Twins have started the season strong, they are in the unfortunate position of playing in the American League Central and currently sit behind two top contenders in the Detroit Tigers and the Kansas City Royals.
While it seems unlikely that they keep pace with the other two clubs this season, the future of the organization looks bright.
