WWE SmackDown Spoilers: Complete Results and Analysis for May 7
Just days removed from a critically acclaimed episode of Raw, WWE continued its tour of the great white north, rolling into Ottawa for this week's SmackDown tapings.
Monday night, Dean Ambrose earned the right to challenge for the world heavyweight title, making the previously advertised match between Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Roman Reigns a Fatal 4-Way bout. Tuesday night, the company taped the contract signing for the match, featuring all four men in the same ring for the first time since the explosive conclusion to Raw.

Would this signing buck tradition and end peacefully? Or would the heightening tensions prove too much, leading to a heated brawl to close the show?
Elsewhere on the show, WWE tag team champions the New Day were in action, battling Tyson Kidd, Cesaro and Ryback in a six-man tag team match, while Dolph Ziggler's war with Sheamus continued in another action-packed tag bout.

Analysis
Easily the most interesting development of this week's show involved what appears to be the reunion of Erick Rowan and Luke Harper.
For the last six months, one could only sit back and wonder what the purpose of splitting the Wyatt Family was when it was clear that there was so much more to do with them. While it is unlikely that they will partner back up with Bray Wyatt, who the company clearly sees on another level, Harper and Rowan could wreak havoc as a cornerstone of the tag team division.
Imagine the series of matches they could have with Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, not to mention the power versus speed classics that could develop between them and the Lucha Dragons. The potential is limitless and for that reason alone, the teasing of a reunion between the heavyweight competitors is worth getting excited about.
It is interesting to see the two midcard feuds featuring Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus as well as Neville and Bad News Barrett receive as much focus as they do early in the show. Barrett has been so misused and mismanaged for so long that seeing him get the spot of the first guy out, as well as the opening promo, is a nice change.
If the bouts between them in the past are any indication, fans should be in for a great deal of fun early Thursday night.
And finally, the main event segment sounds eerily familiar to any fan who has ever watched a WWE-produced contract signing. The added element of Rollins trying to order Kane around adds heat to their side program, but really does nothing to change the fact that WWE Creative leaned on another of its favorite booking crutches.
It will be very difficult for WWE to outdo the show it presented Monday night so fans should not expect that from SmackDown. What they should expect, though, is a night of strong wrestling action featuring some immensely talented performers and a main event angle featuring the four men involved in the next pay-per-view's marquee bout.
