WWE Payback 2015: Booking Decisions That Must Be Made at PPV
Following a hit-and-miss edition of Extreme Rules last month, the forthcoming Payback pay-per-view gives plenty of food for thought regarding the direction of some of the WWE's top stars.
Some hefty booking decisions have to be made to ensure the WWE looks strong heading toward its biggest show of the summer, SummerSlam.
But what needs to be done?

Sheamus Must Be Booked Strongly
Sheamus has returned to WWE TV strongly in recent months, so the opportunity for him to continue growing and progressing cannot be turned down at Payback.
Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, the prospect of him facing Dolph Ziggler at the event could be a possibility once again, as was the case at Extreme Rules.
Although Sheamus lost that match, the way it finished was smart, as it enabled him to keep building significant heat moving forward.
When Sheamus works as a heel, you can see a world title contender of the future. The bullying character he's adopted has worked well recently.
So when the WWE is considering how to book him at Payback, that momentum from Extreme Rules has to continue.
Cesaro and Tyson Kidd Must Regain Their Tag Titles
Although there weren't many shocks to speak of at Extreme Rules, The New Day winning the WWE Tag Team Championship ranked as a major upset.
That group has struggled to gain momentum since forming at the back end of last year, so pinning the tag titles on them was a bold move.
It allows The New Day's rivalry with Tyson Kidd and Cesaro to continue for a few more weeks, however, and at Payback, revenge should be on the agenda.
Kidd and Cesaro have done a good job of heading up the tag division with their combative and unique in-ring style, so they shouldn't drop the belts for too long.
Payback should be the perfect opportunity for them to regain their titles on pay-per-view.
Dean Ambrose vs. The Authority Should Start Up Properly
The big news from Raw this week was that Dean Ambrose was added to the main event at Payback, making the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match a Fatal 4-Way.
Seeing all three members of The Shield together in a main event fighting over a world title is brilliant. It should make for some chaotic action in what will be a thriller of a match.
But given that Seth Rollins is likely to retain (and continue on a collision course to face Brock Lesnar later this year), what happens next with Ambrose will be interesting.
An Ambrose feud against The Authority would be a great way for The Lunatic Fringe to move forward.
Although some have wondered if The Authority's storyline has run its course, it looks like the group will be remaining as a power figure for some time, so it needs fresh blood to work with.
Ambrose would be a noteworthy opponent.
