WWE Extreme Rules 2015: Feuds That Will Continue Through Payback
Despite a hit-and-miss show at Extreme Rules, don't consider it a certainty that too many feuds from the show are going to go away just yet.
In fact, given how we're only just removed from WrestleMania, there's still plenty left in some of the rivalries we saw at Extreme Rules. And given how the show wasn't as blockbuster as many expected it to be, that's perhaps no bad thing.
We've already had confirmation that two of those feuds are definitely going to carry on. John Cena vs. Rusev has been announced for the third straight pay-per-view, and Randy Orton's rivalry with Seth Rollins will continue with Roman Reigns thrown in for good measure.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
In addition to the two that have already been confirmed, here are three more feuds you can expect to see continue right through to Payback after occurring at Extreme Rules.
Nikki Bella vs. Naomi
This is a straightforward pick given how there was a controversial finish to the match that cost Naomi the title.
What is certain here is that the WWE needs to get its booking decisions in order prior to a rematch for the Divas Championship.
The Bella Twins were booked as babyfaces after Naomi attacked Paige prior to the Extreme Rules match, yet Nikki got an unclean win after Brie caused a distraction by hitting Naomi on the outside of the ring.
Regardless of how off the match was at Extreme Rules, Naomi deserves another chance here. Her performance was decent, and she may even prevail with the title.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus
Dolph Ziggler's match against Sheamus at Extreme Rules was far from the worst match on the card.
But the chaotic ending surrounding a bizarre stipulation seriously overshadowed the actual action that took place in the match, something that shouldn't happen again at Payback.
Those two stars need to be given a significant amount of TV time in the build up to Payback. They need to find something that would add an extra touch of prominence and interest into any rematch.
What was positive about the ending at Extreme Rules, though, was that it created enough controversy to give these two guys a platform with which to move forward.
Ziggler and Sheamus both interfering in each other's King of the Ring matches on Raw also gives a huge hint that these two foes aren't quite done with each other just yet, which is no bad thing.
Cesaro and Tyson Kidd vs. The New Day
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night at Extreme Rules was that The New Day managed to become tag champions despite an appalling run of late.
The faction just hasn't gotten over with WWE fans, which led to them slowly turning heel in the midst of many negative reactions from the crowds that watch them perform every week.
But by having them defeat Cesaro and Tyson Kidd, it gives legitimate grounds for the feud to continue.
Had Cesaro and Kidd won here, The New Day would have been shot back down the ladder, and a new team would have had to have been found in time for Payback.
There is now a story behind this rivalry after a controversial win at Extreme Rules, and that should ramp up the interest in the tag division again.
