Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Koke, Paulo Dybala and Aaron Cresswell
Chelsea sporting director Michael Emenalo recently travelled to Spain to watch Atletico Madrid's Koke in action, according to Juan Casanez of AS.
Casanez reports that Blues boss Jose Mourinho "wants to take Koke to Chelsea for next season," although "Atletico are not willing to part with the player unless he asks for a move." This appears highly unlikely, particularly with Koke remaining central to Diego Simeone's plans for the future.
Nicholas Rigg of AS outlined a potential fee for the player:

Casanez reports that "Chelsea want to offer Filipe Luis" as part of the deal, just one year after the Brazilian left-back left the Vicente Calderon for Stamford Bridge. Luis has been nothing more than a bit-part player this season—starting just seven Premier League matches, per WhoScored.com—and is yet to justify the £16 million cost.
Mourinho continues to prefer the more reliable but less exciting Cesar Azpilicueta. This is typical of the Portuguese boss, who often prioritises solidarity over flair, particularly in defence. Chelsea will also target West Ham United full-back Aaron Cresswell if Luis can be sold, ESPN FC reports.

The west London club are moving forward on business for Palermo's Paulo Dybala, according to Gustavo Mascardi, one of the player's representatives. He told Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Gill Clark of Goal) that the likely Premier League champions are yet to meet the starlet's value.
"Paris St Germain have already come forward with an offer of about £32.4 million, and Chelsea had already reached £28.8m," Mascardi said. "We're now at the stage where the price cannot be lower than €50 million (£36 million). Paulo is in no hurry and will take his decision calmly."

Dybala has scored 13 and assisted 10 in 30 Serie A matches this season, per WhoScored.com. Although Diego Costa has netted 19 in his debut Premier League season, his continued injury problems indicate Chelsea may need extra firepower next season. Loic Remy has also had problems staying fit, and 37-year-old Didier Drogba is heading toward the climax of his career.
Spending so heavily on Dybala, however, may be a risky move, as Costa plays a lone striking role when fit.
Chelsea are just two wins from the title, but B/R UK's Garry Hayes believes slight changes are necessary if this success is to develop:
Koke is an obvious but difficult target to land for the club. Simeone has drilled the Spaniard into becoming a multifaceted midfielder, someone who possesses natural craft and the desire to contribute all over the pitch. If there's some way Luis can be sold to help fund this move, it would be a smart option for Mourinho to exercise.
Dybala's reputation continues to build on the continent, but unless Mourinho has plans of switching to two strikers, his expensive fee is better off spent elsewhere. The 21-year-old needs playing time to continue developing and will only see his future hindered with a spell on the bench.
