Sports Figures Who DO NOT Want to Take a Selfie with You
Bo Pelini recently made perhaps the most apathetic selfie appearance in history. In general, sports figures seem to be pretty open to selfies with fans, but not these guys.
In the examples displayed, they look either apathetic, annoyed or, in a couple of cases, as though it's just not a good time. I'm not saying these aren't nice people, but I’m certainly not going to get in line to take a selfie with any of them.
Honorable Mention: Kanye West
No, Kanye West is not a sports figure, but his extreme irritation at Super Bowl XLIX is a great example of what we’re talking about here.
Luis Suarez
Luis Suarez is an international soccer star—it’s no surprise a cab driver in Saudi Arabia tried to snag a selfie with him last year. Too bad Suarez wasn’t having it.

Joe Girardi
Former Wisconsin basketball player Zach Bohannon famously took selfies with all the 2014 Final Four coaches. Later, he took on the New York Yankees.
Derek Jeter and CC Sabathia look OK with it, Joe Torre looks thrilled and Joe Girardi looks like, “Enough of this now. Let’s get back to business.”
Kimi Raikkonen
Could Kimi Raikkonen look more apathetic about this selfie? To be fair, it does appear that the Finnish race car driver took it and made the grumpy face on purpose, but still. Dude doesn’t look happy.
Gerardo Parra

You can’t really blame Gerardo Parra for not wanting to take a selfie while he’s trying to play in a professional baseball game. In July 2014, a fan ran onto the field during play and tried to snap a photo with the outfielder.
Christian Benteke
It would appear that Belgian soccer star Christian Benteke prefers to stick to the pitch. He looks entirely apathetic regarding his involvement with this fan selfie.
David Shaw
In 2013, Stanford football lost to its rival USC in heartbreaking fashion. As USC students rushed the field, one daring individual took a selfie with Stanford coach David Shaw. Shaw looked, well, unhappy.
Phil Kessel
In November 2014, a Toronto Maple Leafs fan actually managed to get a selfie with a player in the penalty box. Forward Phil Kessel looks one part taken aback and two parts “get out of here with that noise.”
Diego Maradona
Argentinan soccer great Deigo Maradona has no problem taking selfies with his daughter, but with fans in general? Maybe not so much.
At a 2014 match between Liverpool and Manchester United, a fan managed to capture a selfie with the legend, but Maradona couldn’t have looked more disinterested if he tried.
Arsene Wenger
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger doesn’t love his players taking selfies, and he definitely doesn’t like being in them himself.
In fact, according to 101 Great Goals, a fan apparently tried to put his head through a car window just to get the priceless digital memento. Wenger thanked him by rolling the window up.
James Harden
Recently, a Houston Rockets fan attempted to get a selfie with James Harden during pregame warm-ups. It proved to be a difficult task. Harden pretty much ignored him, but it appears the fan eventually got his way. Sort of.
Bo Pelini
Bo Pelini, head football coach at Youngstown State University, recently agreed to a selfie with a fan at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. It’s unclear if Pelini was trying to look annoyed, or if that’s just his usual facial expression. Hmm.
