WWE WrestleMania 31 Live Stream: Start Time and Predictions for Biggest Matches

Brian MaziqueMar 27, 2015

Brock Lesnar is committed to stay with the WWE for the long term, and that has added even more intrigue to professional wrestling's biggest show. WrestleMania 31 takes place on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and things are in place for one spectacular event.

In case you're unaware of the WWE's shameless promotion of its self-titled network, WrestleMania can be streamed online at WWE.com, through gaming systems and mobile devices on the corresponding mobile app. Click here for the details.

In case you're old-school, you can also contact your local cable provider to order the event on pay-per-view. The festivities begin at 7 p.m. ET.

Let's talk predictions for the three biggest matches on the card.

John Cena vs. Rusev

The card is so stacked, it was hard for me to decide which match would be considered the third-most impacting scrap of the evening. I went with this one because any time Cena is involved with a champion, like it or not, it's a big deal.

Rusev's ascension to top-heel status has been one of the best examples of character development the WWE has engineered in the last five years. He's a beast in the ring, the crowd appropriately hates him, and the WWE has been able to effectively hide the fact that he's not good on the mic.

It helps when he's normally accompanied by someone as sharp as Lana in that category. It also doesn't hurt that she's incredibly easy on the eyes.

As for the match with Cena, this one could be one of the best of the evening when it comes to drama. I'm not sure any member of the WWE Universe can definitively say Cena or Rusev will prevail.

On one hand, it makes sense to push Rusev past Cena in an ultimate validation of his beasthood. Having Cena put him over would essentially elevate Rusev to main event status.

That could be the problem with that move. Is there really room on the main event scene for Rusev? We have Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar already on that level. Not to mention guys like Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose who deserve to be ahead of Rusev in that regard.

That's part of the reason I think Cena wins. It's not quite time for Rusev to crash the main event party. It's undoubtedly coming, but the WWE can afford to take its time with his development.

The other reason Cena is my pick to win is to add some prestige to the United States Championship. Titles in general don't mean as much as they used to in the WWE. The best way to change that is to allow the most prestigious star to hold the title long enough to elevate it. That's also the reason I believe Bryan will win the intercontinental title in the potentially awesome ladder match.

With Cena and Bryan holding the secondary titles, the IC and U.S. straps will be as prestigious as they have been in years. Perhaps we'll see a unification match between Cena and Bryan sometime down the road that will combine the titles.

Sting vs. Triple H

This seems like a pretty open-and-shut case, right? Sting is going to teach The Authority a lesson and win one for the little guys, right?

Not so fast. There might be something amidst for this one. I'm predicting Triple H wins this match, but obviously not cleanly. The Game will get some help from other members of The Authority, but the outcome could help to set up Sting's opponent for WrestleMania 32.

We all know most want to see Sting and Undertaker clash at the Showcase of the Immortals. What would happen if Taker's music hit as Sting was about to finish Triple H? It would gain one of the biggest reactions of the night and set up one of the most anticipated 'Mania matches of all time.

I'm not sure Taker is the one to help spur Trips to the win, but I'm officially going on record as saying Sting will lose his first WWE match.

Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar

Reigns is the real future of the WWE whether Bryan fanatics want to accept it or not, but that future—which likely includes a run as WWE champion—will have to wait. It's still the Beast Incarnate's time to reign. Lesnar has been the best part-time WWE champion money can buy, and it seems almost impossible to believe he would drop the belt after re-signing with the promotion.

That said, there's something inside me that thinks Paul Heyman could turn on Lesnar and side with the younger Reigns to help provide a twist in the event's biggest match. It could also help to give Reigns the support he needs to re-establish himself as a face down the road. Hooking up with Heyman is good for that.

It would also make for one heck of an episode of Raw on Monday night. However, I'll curtail those dramatic thoughts and go with the safer and more likely prediction that Lesnar retains the title.
