WWE NXT Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from March 18
NXT champion Kevin Owens continued to demonstrate why he is the best heel in professional wrestling today when he decimated Alex Riley in Wednesday night's main event, then retreated to avoid any damage at the hands of Finn Balor.
After weeks of tormenting Riley, goading him out of his position as a commentator and back into the squared circle, the former Ring of Honor standout turned Riley's dream comeback into little more than a painful nightmare and reminder of his dominance since debuting last December.
But the little things that Owens incorporated into his performance helped confirm his status as one of the biggest winners from the March 18 episode of NXT.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Not only did he escape the Coup De Grace from Balor, but he managed to get in a couple extra shots on Riley before returning to the locker room.
To top it all off, the fans in Columbus, Ohio, for the Arnold Classic greeted him with a hero's welcome, despite the fact that he is one of the most despicable villains on the entire roster.
The character has been such a breath of fresh air when considering that any real main roster heel is only allowed to get over when they are aligned with The Authority.
Who else joined Owens in the winner category? Who was not so lucky?
Winner: Sasha Banks
NXT women's champion Sasha Banks proved why she is one of the most talented up-and-coming female performers in the industry Wednesday night, working with the less experienced Alexa Bliss to deliver an entertaining match that laid the groundwork for next week's title clash between the two foes.
The Boss made Bliss look outstanding without ever diminishing herself in the eyes of the fans, which is the true mark of excellence for any in-ring performer.
The fans in Columbus, hometown of her opponent Bliss, greeted Banks with a favorable response, proving that they not only appreciate her character but also respect her as a worker. Like Owens, that reception came despite the fact that Banks is the lead heel on the Divas roster.
Loser: Alex Riley
After weeks of hype surrounding his return, and a huge deal made out of his victory over CJ Parker on last week's show, Riley was essentially squashed by a superior competitor in Kevin Owens, proving that he is not at the level of the best that NXT has to offer.
So why bother having him come back?
Sure, it was a compelling story, but when Riley was dispatched of so convincingly by a star in developmental, it made the former main roster star look somewhat pathetic.
Where does he go from here? Does he slink back to the commentary position, a defeated man, all of the talk about raging and being let out of his cage for naught?
It was questionable booking, to say the least.
Winners: Carmella
A lot of young talent would shrink when confronted with a reaction that was anything but what they were expecting. Not Carmella.
Greeted with boos from the fans at the Arnold Classic, she embraced it, showing more sass and arrogance, almost in defiance of the jeers directed at her.
Add to it the fact that she played a major role in the finish of the match and is central to the tag team championship rivalry between Enzo Amore and Big Cass and titleholders Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake, and you have a woman whose star is looking brighter with each passing week.
