Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the two sides agreed on a three-year deal. Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports reported that the deal has a base value of $10.5 million with performance bonuses.
Marty Caswell of The Mighty 1090 Sports Radio provided comments from Johnson's new quarterback, Philip Rivers:

Russini also provided some insight into the decision:
Johnson spent one disappointing season with the San Francisco 49ers. He caught just 35 passes for 435 yards and three touchdowns. The wideout had 301 catches for more than 3,800 yards and 28 touchdowns in six seasons with the Buffalo Bills.
The New England Patriots were also linked to him. Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal notes he'll likely get more consistent targets in San Diego, though:
Johnson is not a big-play threat. Instead, he gets open by being one of the most efficient route-runners in the NFL. That should translate to more success with Rivers at the helm than it did with Colin Kaepernick last year.
He gives San Diego another reliable target to go along with Keenan Allen, Malcom Floyd and Antonio Gates. It's fair to expect a bounce-back season from him in 2015.
