WWE Rumors: Examining Latest Buzz Around The Rock, The Young Bucks and More
The latest WWE rumors suggest that The Rock's been playing the heel role in real life and that Ring of Honor is not playing around when it comes to The Young Bucks.
The Internet is abuzz with what The Rock may have done to a mansion he rented. Speculation is rampant about ROH's strategy in its contract negotiations with Matt and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks.
Other rumors point to the WWE writing room's welcoming a former ROH tag team champion and potential spoilers about two WrestleMania entrances.

To make sense of these stories and sort out the truth from misinformation, we look first at ROH's potential contractual concerns.
The Young Bucks to Be Tied Down?
Is ROH looking to keep WWE from signing its talent? There's good reason to think so.
According to PWInsider (h/t Wrestling Inc), ROH is looking to lock down wrestlers including The Young Bucks. The report notes that the company is trying to get the popular tag team to sign an exclusive, full-time deal.
Unless ROH can come up with a lot of zeroes on that check, that deal is not in The Young Bucks' best interest. They are mainstays on the independent circuit and spend a good amount of time in Japan. The last thing they want to do is be limited to one company, unless it's one with pockets as deep as WWE's.
Signing The Young Bucks isn't necessarily a means to protect themselves from WWE raids, though. The company is smart to want more exclusive deals rather than be just one of many places a fan can see wrestlers like the Jackson brothers.
If ROH has the funds, making sure The Briscoe Brothers, The Young Bucks, Michael Bennett, Michael Elgin and others stick around is only smart business, regardless if WWE or another company is looking to snatch those wrestlers up.
New Member of WWE Creative
ROH makes it into this fresh batch of WWE rumors once again thanks to Jimmy Jacobs.
Pro Wrestling Torch's Sean Radican reports, "Long-time Ring of Honor star Jimmy Jacobs is heading to WWE to join the writing team." PWInsider (h/t Wrestle Zone) reports the same thing.
With two trusted sources hearing of this backstage hire, there is no reason to doubt it.
It's not a surprising move, either. Jacobs has been around the business for over 15 years, wrestling for ROH, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and IWA Mid-South.
He'll add a welcome contrast to the TV and soap opera writers who sit on the staff. Mixing people from the entertainment industry and folks who have made their living in the ring is wise.
Word on WrestleMania Entrances
Reading reports on the Internet may spoil the spectacle of two entrances at WrestleMania 31. It looks as if WWE is planning some big things for Rusev and Sting.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports, "The same casting agency that put out a call for Marching Russian Soldiers last week for WrestleMania (obviously for Rusev) is now seeking actors to portray Scarecrows."
While the scarecrow extras would seem to be part of Sting's theatrics, Johnson wonders if they might be for Bray Wyatt instead. Sting, though, is the one with crows in his entrance video.
Either way, it's great to hear that WWE is going all-out for at least two entrances.
Rusev is being treated like a major deal if WWE wants a succession of soldiers to lead him out for his WrestleMania debut. If the scarecrows are for Sting, it will line up with how much effort WWE has made in presenting him to this point.
The Rock Laid the Smack Down on a Mansion?
The Rock is getting the kind of publicity he surely wants to simply go away: Word is going around that he trashed a mansion he rented.

Writing for the Miami Herald, Jose Lambiet reports, "The owners of a $6 million mansion in Southwest Ranches are trying to get big-screen superstar Dwayne Johnson to pay for damages that their crib sustained while Johnson was renting it." The damages are said to be worth more than $80,000.
Take this story with a grain of salt, though. Lambiet is a gossip writer, for one. He cites two unnamed "real estate sources in Broward County." Other outlets have yet to report on this.
Should other publications have similar findings, it will be easier to swallow this. For now, it's another shaky rumor making the rounds.
