Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After spending the first five seasons of his career with the New York Giants, Nicks signed with the Indianapolis Colts last offseason. He was expected to be a big part of one of the best receiving corps in the NFL, but it ultimately didn't play out that way.
Nicks did catch four touchdowns after getting shut out in that category in 2013, but he also set career lows with 38 catches, 405 yards and a 10.7 yards-per-reception average.
As Adam Levitan of pointed out, Nicks' plan to put himself in position for a bigger and better contract didn't work out:

With Nicks clearly not fitting into Indy's explosive offense, figured his tenure with the Colts was done after just one year:
Even as Nicks struggled and essentially became the Colts' No. 4 receiver behind T.Y. Hilton, Reggie Wayne and , he didn't lack in terms of confidence.
According to Curt of USA Today, the former Super Bowl champion tabbed himself as the top wide receiver in football.
"I still view myself as the best receiver in the league," Nicks said, adding, "That expectation ain't never going to change. I'll get a chance to prove it eventually."
Perhaps the 27-year-old will get that chance in 2015 now that he is on his way out of Indianapolis.
He will have to work his way back up the ladder after a few seasons in a row, but there is no doubt Nicks has the talent to be an important contributor in the league.
Nicks enjoyed consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in 2010 and 2011 with the G-Men, and he reeled in a career-high 11 touchdown receptions in 2010 as well.
Returning to that form certainly won't be easy, but Nicks is still young and very much in his athletic prime.
Considering what Nicks has done in the past, rolling the dice on him could prove to be a brilliant decision. There isn't a ton of risk involved with signing him, but the reward could potentially be massive.
This may be Nicks' last chance to prove he can be a top pass-catcher in the NFL, and he needs to make the most of the opportunity.
