Darvish Pulled from Spring Start
Thursday, March 5
T.R. Sullivan of MLBlogs.com reported that "Yu Darvish was pulled from Thursday's start with tightness in his right triceps. It is not considered serious. He will be re-evaluated tomorrow."
That it is not considered serious has to be a relief for the Rangers considering Darvish has been one of the team's best pitchers over the past three seasons. He finished 2014 with a 10-7 record and 3.06 ERA. He was even better in 2013 with a 2.83 ERA.
However, it is concerning that Darvish is already dealing with arm issues.
He was shut down for the stretch run of the season last year with a lingering elbow injury. He pitched only 144.1 innings and is undoubtedly hoping for better health in 2015.
