WWE NXT Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from March 4
Kevin Owens continued to torment Alex Riley on Wednesday night when NXT invaded the WWE Network, inexplicably targeting the wrestler-turned-commentator while rival Sami Zayn remained out of the country.
With no one to defend him, and despite the warnings by NXT general manager William Regal, Riley lashed out at the NXT champion, making it known that he is not going to sit back and allow anyone to bully him, even if said bully is the incredibly dangerous Owens.
Speaking of dangerous, Sasha Banks defended her NXT Women's Championship against Charlotte in the night's main event. In another outstanding match between the bitter enemies, Banks was able to score a tainted win, using the ropes to help her pick up the pinfall over her second-generation opponent.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Baron Corbin returned to action, Solomon Crowe battled Bull Dempsey, and NXT tag team champions Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake scored another victory as they ride a wave of momentum into spring.
Which Superstars and Divas left Wednesday night's broadcast winners? Which were less lucky?
Winner: Sasha Banks
There has not been a better women's wrestler in all of WWE over the last six months than Sasha Banks.
Whether it was in a losing effort against Charlotte back at Takeover: R Evolution or capturing the women's title at Takeover: Rival, she has made the absolute most of the opportunities presented to her. More importantly, she has served as the face of a renewed effort by the brand to prove that women can wrestle matches as outstanding as any of their male counterparts.
Banks basked in the main event spotlight Wednesday and continued to establish herself as the top heel in NXT's Divas division. By defeating Charlotte by using the ropes, she planted the seeds for the continuation of the rivalry, all the while delivering another phenomenal contest to further cement her status as a worker.
A great showing by a Diva more ready for the main roster than any other in NXT.
Winners: Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake
There was a time, not all that long ago, when Blake and Murphy were enhancement talents, losing to the likes of The Lucha Dragons and The Ascension. Now the NXT tag team champions, they were able to turn the tables, competing as the established team against two young up-and-comers Wednesday night in the form of Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton.
Wins like the one they scored this week will go a long way in helping establish them as the standard-bearers of the tag division. At the same time, it will be imperative for NXT's creative forces to develop Blake and Murphy's characters, to give them something to be other than just "two guys with belts."
If that can happen, the team can continue to thrive as it develops the in-ring chemistry that it has shown flashes of in recent bouts.
Loser: Bull Dempsey
Remember when Bull Dempsey was an undefeated force of nature in NXT, winning all of his matches and setting up a war of epic proportions with Baron Corbin?
It seems like an eternity now given what The Last of a Dying Breed has been up to as of late.
Three losses to Corbin, a defeat at the hands of Hideo Itami and a disappointing night against newcomer Solomon Crowe has left Dempsey in a similar state to Mojo Rawley, who enjoyed a huge push out of the gate but then fell back down to earth when it became apparent that he was neither ready nor interesting enough to justify his push.
Dempsey is now left in an unenviable position. Will he be able to rebound? Only time will tell.
Winner: Alex Riley
Four years ago, Alex Riley was one of the most over Superstars on WWE's main roster following a highly publicized split between he and The Miz. He regularly received some of the biggest pops of any given show and connected with the audience in ways most never expected.
He then abruptly disappeared, left to work D-level shows like Superstars.
Over time, he emerged as a talented commentator and WWE Network analyst but continued to express on social media his desire to step foot back inside the squared circle.
With his budding rivalry with NXT champion Owens, the moment he has waited so long for now appears to be on the horizon.
Riley is exactly the type of character that NXT does so well. As the announcer targeted by Owens, Riley is the babyface who is easy to cheer for. The story is simple enough, and fans react accordingly.
A string of strong performances in the coming weeks could lead to the career renaissance of Riley, a guy who never really deserved the treatment he received from management.
