Damien Mizdow Is Smartest Choice to Win Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
The fuse is ready to hit the dynamite. It's time for Damien Mizdow to explode, to leave the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal with a bounty of momentum.
Having Mizdow win the second annual WrestleMania Battle Royal is a smart payoff for a well-timed angle. WWE can have someone such as Ryback win it to help boost his career, but there is no pre-match narrative to build on. With Mizdow, the Battle Royal is a fitting climax, a perfect opportunity.
A Mizdow victory would have the power to bring emotion and a lasting image to a match that doesn't have enough history to feel special yet.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
All the midcarders participating in the match now would love to be the last man standing, but none of their stories has the electricity that Mizdow's would. As noted on WWE.com, the following Superstars are currently entered in the match:
- Curtis Axel
- Ryback
- Fandango
- Adam Rose
- Zack Ryder
- Jack Swagger
- Darren Young
- Titus O'Neil
- The Miz
As John Cena said on Monday's Raw, "That's not exactly like Murderers' Row."
There would be little excitement surrounding a Swagger win or Fandango coming out on top. What's the story for those options?
Whether Swagger would be redeeming himself for all his failures against Rusev or Fandango would be proving just how new and improved he actually is, those would feel like thrown-together narratives.
WWE hasn't been building toward those moments.
It has, however, been taking the slow-burn route to Mizdow breaking away from The Miz. This is the ideal chance to capitalize on that.
Since becoming The Miz's stunt double and later his personal assistant, he has suffered a variety of indignities, remaining quiet and loyal throughout.
It was Mizdow who picked up the pinfall in their tag team title win at Survivor Series, but it was Miz who carried around the titles afterward. Mizdow was stuck carrying around replicas.

Miz barked at him when fans cheered louder for him. He has continually told him he would be nothing without him.
And since making Mizdow an assistant rather than a stunt double, he has taken to asking him to shine his shoes, fetch him water and prepare his smoothies. Every order has come with contempt dripping off The Miz's voice.
It's the plot of The Devil Wears Prada moved to the squared circle.
The audience could see their split coming months ago. Wrestling history tells us that an employer abusing his employee always leads to a triumphant act of rebellion.
Virgil struck back against Ted DiBiase. Diesel broke away from Shawn Michaels and captured the WWE title.
Mizdow's moment is coming. Fans know that. WWE has wisely held out, delaying that inevitability for months.
On Monday's Raw, we got a peak at how exciting it will be once Mizdow stands up for himself and finally hands The Miz his comeuppance. The Miz looked to show off his new commercial but quickly realized that the editing wasn't favorable to him.
The Miz barked at his peon and slapped him across the face. Mizdow snarled and seethed but did nothing but apologize.
That moment, though, was electric.
Put that on the WrestleMania stage with higher stakes and have Mizdow do what we have all expected him to do for months. That's about as obvious a path to excellence as one could take.
There is an inherent appeal to the good guy overcoming the jerk, but there is more to this tale than that. Mizdow has long struggled to get any respect from WWE Creative. WWE moved from one ridiculous costume to another.
Mizdow's story is one of a hard worker wading through the garbage thrown at him, making a throwaway angle one of the most entertaining elements of WWE programming over the past year.
Fans want to root for him. He's likable and funny, and he has done his fair share of bottom-feeding.

The Andre the Giant Battle Royal is the perfect stage to tap into that.
Have him assist The Miz at first, working up the crowd by going on an elimination spree. After another abusive incident from his boss, he snaps. The pushback that fans have been waiting for finally happens and results in Mizdow throwing The Miz over the top rope.
In this scenario, the Battle Royal becomes a chance for redemption, revenge and a massive babyface pop.
It will be a tremendous sight to see The Miz on the outside of the ring, looking up at Mizdow with a swirl of anger and shock on his face. Seeing Mizdow finally be able to soak up the cheers The Miz wouldn't let him enjoy will be even better.
That's a WrestleMania moment WWE can't pass up.
