Conflicting Reports Surround Bills' Interest in Bradford
Tuesday, Feb. 24
Yahoo Sports' Rand Getlin reported that the Buffalo Bills are looking into a potential trade for Bradford. He added the following details:
"Buffalo has promising young talent in the receiving corps, led by second-year player Sammy Watkins and third-year player Robert Woods, but a league source indicates Bills head coach Rex Ryan and offensive coordinator Greg Roman aren't sold on EJ Manuel as a viable starter and believe Bradford can maximize the value of their wide receivers and help them win now.
"
However, Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News reported a "source in the know" says the Bills are not pursuing Bradford and reported that the organization found it strange that the Rams would make Bradford available in the first place:
"However, a source told The News that the Bills were not looking to trade for Bradford and questioned the logic of the Rams even making Bradford available for a trade because it would leave them seeking a replacement in a thin free-agent market and draft for quarterbacks.
"
Joe Buscaglia of WGR in Buffalo also reported that the Bills' pursuit of Bradford is "not real." Buscaglia noted that it sounded as though Bradford's agent was "trying to get a little leverage in contract talks with the Rams."

Bradford May Seek Trade
Wednesday, Feb. 18
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Rams have given Bradford and his camp permission to explore trade possibilities:
Despite that report, Rams general manager Les Snead does not sound like he's in a rush to deal the oft-injured quarterback, via Around the NFL:
Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch added more details on talks between the two sides:
La Canfora also noted that the most likely outcome for Bradford and the Rams is finding a way to restructure his current deal:
One reason the Rams may not be willing to move Bradford, per Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan, could be as an insurance policy:
As far as when Bradford will be back on the field following another ACL tear last season, Snead said, via Conor Orr of NFL.com, that depends on when he is physically and mentally ready:
Bradford is one of the great question marks in the NFL. He put up solid numbers in 2012 and 2013, throwing for 5,389 yards and 34 touchdowns in 23 games combined, but injuries have left him as one of the biggest enigmas.
The Rams are a team capable of doing great things because their defense is terrific and loaded with young talent, but the offense hasn't held up its end of the bargain. Bradford deserves some of the blame, though injuries make it difficult to properly evaluate his career.
Given what the Rams had to endure last year with Shaun Hill and Austin Davis splitting time, it's easy to see why the front office isn't in a rush to move Bradford if he's able to find a trade partner.
