WWE SmackDown Spoilers: Complete Results and Analysis for February 19
Tuesday's SmackDown taping, the final stop before World Wrestling Entertainment presents its Fastlane pay-per-view this Sunday, took the spotlight off of Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns and put it on the secondary feud involving The Authority, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan, and rightfully so.
So much has been done to focus squarely on the Bryan-Reigns match that some of the top stars on the roster have been left to wander aimlessly. WWE Creative righted that wrong Tuesday night, setting in motion a potential Six-Man Tag Team match should the company opt to book that contest come this weekend's pay-per-view broadcast.

Also during the taping, Rusev was treated like an irate monster ahead of his showdown with John Cena at Fastlane. Bad News Barrett and Dean Ambrose were in the same building just days before their Intercontinental Championship match. Finally, Paige battled Cameron while hated enemies the Bella Twins sat mere feet from the squared circle.
Taking advantage of its final opportunity to convince fans to try the WWE Network (or even purchase the pay-per-view), WWE Creative put its best foot forward on selling the audience on the midcard bouts.

Analysis
The undercard for Fastlane was desperately in need of a show like this week's SmackDown. It needed to have the focus taken off of the Bryan-Reigns drama that has dominated programming over the last few weeks and casually remind fans that there are other bouts taking place on this weekend's event.
While not officially announced, all signs point to Ziggler, Rowan and Ryback battling Rollins, Kane and Big Show at Fastlane. If that does not happen, then the entire show-closing segment from SmackDown would be rendered meaningless.
The time dedicated to Paige and The Bellas, Barrett and Ambrose and even Rusev will go a long way in putting some heat on feuds that have been criminally underdeveloped on Raw and SmackDown in recent weeks.
Bryan and Reigns make an appearance just days before their big match, but the fact that they are kept apart will do much to prevent overexposure of their rivalry.
While not a particularly flashy show, or even one fans have not seen in some form or fashion over the last three months, it appears to do an admirable job of pitching fans on purchasing this Sunday's PPV.
That is exactly what it should do.
