Cavs Trade Rumors Tracker: Latest Updates Ahead of 2015 NBA Trade Deadline
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been active this season, already swinging deals for J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert and Timofey Mozgov. With the trade deadline looming, though, general manager David Griffin may not be done wheeling and dealing.

Cavs Looking to Move Brendan Haywood
Tuesday, Feb. 10
The Cavs, who are approaching the All-Star break as one of the hottest teams in the NBA, clearly aren't going to be making any more major moves.
However, they are still interested in adding some depth, and according to Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon, they are attempting to do so by using Brendan Haywood's enticing contract:
"Because the Cavs are so far over the luxury-tax line, they're prohibited from using Haywood's contract to acquire a player in a sign-and-trade deal, which likely lessens the quality of player they could get for Haywood this summer.
It's one reason why the Cavs are shopping Haywood now -- his salary this year is $2.2 million -- in their pursuit of a backup point guard or post player to fortify the roster in pursuit of a title this season.
"
The 35-year-old Haywood, who has played just 91 total minutes this season, no longer provides much on the court. But his 2015-16 salary is fully non-guaranteed, making him a potential option for a team looking to rebuild.
Vardon notes that Cleveland is in the market for either a backup point guard or post player.
Matthew Dellavedova is currently manning the former position. The second-year Australian is a solid shooter (41.1 percent on 2.3 three-point attempts per game), and he takes care of the ball (113 assists to 36 turnovers), but he's simply not much of a playmaker. He is shooting a putrid 20-of-70 from inside the arc, making just five total field goals at the rim all season, per NBA.com.
Adam Reisinger noted a potential target:
"If the Cavs are still looking for a backup point guard, they should see if the Wolves will flip Gary Neal for a minor asset... (1/2)

"... Not because Gary Neal solves any of the Cavs backup PG problems, but because I have an irrational love of him. (2/2)
— Adam Reisinger (@AdamReisinger) February 10, 2015"
Gary Neal has not shot the ball well this season, but he would add a much more dynamic scoring punch to a second unit that is last in the NBA in points per game.
As for finding a post player, that may not be such a necessity with Mozgov playing so well. In 18 games since being acquired from the Denver Nuggets, he is averaging 10.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per contest. With him in the lineup, the Cavs are outscoring opponents by a whopping 10.3 points per 100 possessions, via NBA.com.
BoobysWorld.com's Twitter feed put it simply:
Cleveland is still a bit thin at the position, but a frontcourt rotation of LeBron James, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson and Mozgov is going to be just fine on most nights.
Still, if the option to move Haywood for a viable bench contributor arises, don't expect Cleveland to pass it up.
