Best Possible Scenarios for a Brock Lesnar Appearance at WWE Fast Lane
There has been no word one way or the other about whether WWE world heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will appear at February’s Fast Lane pay-per-view, but it would be a smart move to have his presence felt at the event.
With Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns and fan favorite Daniel Bryan fighting for the No. 1 contendership at WrestleMania 31, Lesnar and his manager, Paul Heyman, have a vested interest in the outcome of the PPV main event.
Here are the best possible scenarios for a Lesnar appearance at Fast Lane.

Brock Lesnar Gets Front-Row Seats
One aspect of Lesnar’s career the WWE should play off more is his experience and dominance in the UFC. While his time in mixed martial arts wasn’t long, he became one of the biggest stars in the history of the sport during that stretch.
Stealing a page from MMA, Lesnar and Heyman should “buy” front-row tickets for the Fast Lane event and sit there throughout the night. Just like a champion or No. 1 contender in MMA will watch his next opponent fight, Lesnar should do the same for the Reigns vs. Bryan match.
The WWE can cut to Lesnar and Heyman at different points during the show and even conduct an impromptu interview about why he is there. After staying out of the action all night and claiming that he is just there to scout, Lesnar could stay true to his word and not get involved.
Instead of Lesnar predictably jumping the guardrail and interrupting the main event, the eventual winner—most likely Reigns—can call out Lesnar and ask him into the ring. While Lesnar beating down Reigns would be a great way to end the show, a face-to-face staredown without violence would leave a longer-lasting impression.
With Bryan and Reigns squaring off in a bitter battle in the ring and Lesnar’s presence in the background the whole time, fans will be fully invested in this match and what will eventually happen between the winner and Lesnar.
Pre-Match Beatdowns
If Lesnar appears at Fast Lane, most members of the WWE Universe will believe he is there to attack the winner of the match to soften him up further for WrestleMania 31. Instead, the WWE should swerve the audience.
As cameramen follow Reigns in the backstage area, Bryan should cross his path, and the two Superstars should have an intense staredown. At that moment, Lesnar should ambush both men and lay them out with F-5 finishers on the concrete.
After throwing Lesnar out of the building, an injured Reigns and Bryan should go on to main event the PPV and steal the show. Bryan is one of the best at selling injuries, and the damage caused by Lesnar before the match could be the reason the fan favorite takes the loss.
Using Lesnar for one backstage segment is not the ideal optimization of his limited dates, but with the former UFC champion possibly considering going back to MMA after WrestleMania, the WWE should squeeze out every possible appearance.
Lesnar Closes the Show Standing Tall
Another route the WWE could go down is the traditional post-match run-in. If Lesnar is in attendance at Fast Lane, keeping it secret until the very end of the PPV would result in the biggest surprise of the night.
After Reigns successfully defeats Bryan in a longer match, the exhausted No. 1 contender should be booed heavily by the crowd. As he celebrates regardless of the reaction, Lesnar’s music should hit and the champion must make his way to the ring.
An injured Bryan will still be on the ramp when this happens, and Lesnar should hit him with an F-5 on the steel, sending a message to Reigns. After Lesnar beats down Bryan, the champion should hit the ring and begin brawling with Reigns.
Just as it looks like Reigns is getting the upper hand, one well-timed German suplex would scramble the No. 1 contender, and Lesnar should hit him two or three times with his finishing move, sending a clear warning to his challenger.
Over the weeks following this incident, Reigns should show no signs of fear and keep coming back for more from Lesnar. If the WWE is dead set on making Reigns face, it has to be as a legitimate tough guy, not John Cena version 2.0.
