WWE Fast Lane 2015: Overlooked Stars That Will Make Big Impact at PPV
The final pay-per-view before WrestleMania 31, the inaugural edition of WWE Fast Lane, provides a final opportunity for some of WWE's forgotten stars to make a final impact ahead of the biggest show of the year.
With space limited on the card for WrestleMania given how there are plenty of big bouts scheduled, making an impact will be tough, but there are still a couple of openings there for some stars to make an impact ahead of Mania.
Whether it is via an electrifying promo or a match that seriously catches the eyes, Fast Lane will see some forgotten and overlooked stars on the roster make one last case for a big push ahead of WrestleMania 31.

One of those guys could be Curtis Axel, who seems to have suddenly been thrust into a mini-feud with Dean Ambrose ahead of the show. Now, clearly, that is building toward Ambrose going after Bad News Barrett and the Intercontinental Championship, but could Axel realistically be part of that rivalry?
It's interesting that WWE almost listened to their fans heading out of the Royal Rumble and actually gave Axel a spot on Raw recently to address his non-elimination from the Royal Rumble match. Ambrose coming down and hurling Axel over the top rope sent a message out—but Axel suddenly returning to TV would be an interesting path for WWE to try out.
There's no doubting he's got the talent, but, ever since he was moved away from Paul Heyman, it just hasn't happened for the former Intercontinental Champion. The WWE could maybe throw him into a Triple Threat match at Fast Lane—and that would represent an improvement in Axel's fortunes, even if he did come up short.
Elsewhere, we're likely to see a return or two at Fast Lane, with Randy Orton and/or The Undertaker coming back—or at least expected to, anyway.
The later they leave Orton and Taker's returns in the build-up to WrestleMania, the less time WWE have to set up a worthwhile feud for both men.
Given how WWE are advertising the WWE Network for free in February—something they did in November when Sting made his long-awaited debut in WWE—perhaps there is an ace or two up their sleeves for Fast Lane.
After all, the final pay-per-view prior to WrestleMania always does feel like a bit of a damp squib, so a couple of lively returns would at least give it a shot in the arm.
It's Orton's return that is the most intriguing, not least because he is certain to revive a feud with Seth Rollins. Orton has almost been forgotten about given the controversy and chaos surrounding the Royal Rumble—which is no bad thing for WWE, which will now have the element of surprise with Orton's return.
And if you're looking for one more star who could make a dramatic return to form at Fast Lane, then look no further than Stardust.
Stardust's tag team with brother Goldust has gone off the boil, and the latter seems to be winding down toward a permanent move away from the ring. Therefore, one more WrestleMania moment seems appropriate for a guy who has given his all to the wrestling business—and a contest against his younger brother would be perfect.
A move away from Stardust and back to his original Cody Rhodes character now seems to be the best way to take his career forward—so a major turn on his brother would serve him well.
