Brady to Become 5th QB to Start Multiple Super Bowls at Same Stadium
When the New England Patriots take the field at University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday, quarterback Tom Brady will become the fifth player to start multiple Super Bowls in the same stadium, per ESPN Stats & Info.
Brady's first trip for the big game was a rather memorable one, as his Patriots fell to the New York Giants by a score of 17-14 in one of the most famous Super Bowls of all time. Played on Feb. 3 2008, Super Bowl 42 pitted the undefeated Patriots against a Giants team that had gone just 10-6 during the regular season.
Best known for David Tyree's "helmet catch," the game featured arguably the most memorable game-winning drive in league history, which was followed by Brady's near-Hail Mary pass attempt to Randy Moss.

Brady's Patriots won't be such heavy favorites this time around, as the Super Bowl pits the top-seeded teams in each conference. Should Brady emerge victorious over the Seattle Seahawks, he'll join Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana as the only quarterbacks with four Super Bowl victories.
Brady's sixth Super Bowl start represents a stand-alone record for quarterbacks, breaking a tie at five with John Elway.
As for the quarterbacks to start multiple Super Bowls in the same stadium, Brady joins Terry Bradshaw (Orange Bowl), Roger Staubach (Orange Bowl), John Elway (Qualcomm/Jack Murphy Stadium) and Peyton Manning (Sun Life/Dolphin Stadium). No quarterback has ever started three Super Bowls in the same stadium.
