Rick Dennison Hired as Broncos OC: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction
The revamped Denver Broncos coaching staff is keeping with a homecoming theme after Monday's official hiring of Rick Dennison as offensive coordinator.
A news release on the Broncos' official website confirmed Dennison's hiring, as he'll join fellow ex-Denver player Gary Kubiak, who was recently hired as the new head coach.

Dennison brings unique, diverse experience to Kubiak's staff. After playing all nine of his NFL seasons with the Broncos as a linebacker, Dennison served as an assistant coach mostly on the offensive side of the ball from 1995 through 2009.
From 2006-2008, he emerged as Denver's offensive coordinator, when he fostered first-round quarterback Jay Cutler's development and saw him blossom into a Pro Bowler.
Most recently with the Baltimore Ravens, Dennison was the quarterbacks coach while Kubiak served as offensive coordinator.
Cecil Lammey of ESPN Denver alluded to the strides Joe Flacco made under Dennison's supervision after the big-armed signal-caller had a down 2013 campaign coming off a Super Bowl MVP award:
ESPN's Jeff Legwold logged what Dennison had to say after this year's Pro Bowl about his impending return to Denver:
Kubiak called the plays when current Broncos general manager and legendary QB John Elway led the team to back-to-back championships, and Dennison was in charge of special teams during that time.
While he has built a magnificent team during his time in the front office, Elway seems comfortable in calling on several former teammates and coaches to get Denver over the Super Bowl hump. The familiarity factor should create exemplary stability and continuity for years to come, which will be important as the Broncos enter an immediate future of uncertainty.
It is still yet to be determined if all-time great QB Peyton Manning will return to Denver in 2015. If he does, Manning has no more than a few years left in his Hall of Fame career, so his eventual retirement is something Elway and Co. have to brace for soon enough.
The success Kubiak and Dennison had helping Flacco bounce back bodes well for Manning's presumptive successor, Brock Osweiler, and his prospective backup, 2013 seventh-round pick Zac Dysert.
