Super Bowl Odds 2015: Latest Vegas Lines Before Patriots vs. Seahawks Media Day
Las Vegas is just as confused as bettors are.
The odds for the 2015 Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks started small, remain small and will surely stay that way right up until kickoff.
So it goes when everyone is focused on off-field drama such as the pounds-per-square-inch levels of footballs.

That is not entirely fair, though. More than anything, this is what happens when two evenly matched teams get together for the biggest game of the year.
Go ahead and run down the line. Bill Belichick vs. Pete Carroll. Tom Brady vs. Russell Wilson. LeGarrette Blount vs. Marshawn Lynch. Richard Sherman vs. Darrelle Revis.

What They're Saying
Super Bowl media day is on the way. The spectacle last year birthed many interesting narratives, including possibly jump-starting the obsession with Lynch's interaction with the media.
Lynch will be a focal point once again, but he gets help from the Deflategate scandal that surrounds the Patriots.
The organization called a surprise press conference Sunday to address the situation, likely in an attempt to answer all possible questions the media would have Tuesday. The Associated Press captured the gist of the event:
In all likelihood, Belichick is in for a long Tuesday afternoon.
Despite this, Carroll remains adamant that the scandal, which some call a distraction, may only make the Patriots more dangerous than usual.
"I think it's common when you feel like you're under attack it draws you closer," Carroll said, per ESPN.com's Terry Blount. "I would suspect those guys will rally together. We understand it's a distraction they don't want, but I'm sure they're handling it in the best way possible. That's all you can do right now."
Try not to tell that to a certain member of the Legion of Boom, though, as Sports Radio KJR's Curtis Crabtree highlights:
More gems such as this are on the way thanks to media day.
The point is, though, that there is a mutual respect between these two teams, if not a little trash talk for good measure early in the week. Given Brady and Sherman's past, as well as the personalities involved, that is to be expected.
Prediction
Look, one can make a strong argument for either side.
New England touts Brady under center, who has six touchdowns to two interceptions this postseason. Blount is the most dangerous back in the AFC right now and just ran for 148 yards and three scores in the AFC Championship Game.
The deciding factors for bettors, though, should be defense.
This is where New England falls a bit short. Big names such as Revis are nice, but Baltimore scorched the unit in the divisional round.
There, Revis and Co. allowed Joe Flacco to throw for 292 yards and four touchdowns, while running back Justin Forsett ran for 129 yards on just 24 attempts. Were it not for a superhuman effort from Brady late in the game, this would be a different conversation.
Brady will not have a chance to steal a win against a Sherman-led defense, especially if his main method of progression is Seattle's strength, as Jason McIntyre of TheBigLead.com charts:
Wilson, who salvaged the worst game of his career and morphed it into a classic for the ages, will not blink in his second consecutive appearance on the big stage.
Add in his versatility, as well as Lynch's clock-chewing ways against a struggling defense, and the Seahawks will triumph in a close encounter.
Let the dynasty whispers begin.
Prediction: Seahawks 27, Patriots 24
