No surprise, really, that the quarterbacks are the odds-on favorites to win Super Bowl MVP. Tom Brady is the conduit for the Patriots' success and has six touchdowns against just two interceptions in these playoffs. He could get some career-achievement play if the Pats win.
Brady also does a fine job of getting multiple receivers involved in the offense and taking what's given to him by the defense. This could mitigate the MVP potential of a guy—excuse me, demigod—like Rob Gronkowski or Julian Edelman.
| Julian Edelman | 17 | 25 | 172 | 0 |
| Rob Gronkowski | 10 | 21 | 136 | 2 |
| Brandon LaFell | 9 | 13 | 90 | 1 |
| Danny Amendola | 6 | 9 | 89 | 2 |
| Shane Vereen | 7 | 9 | 80 | 0 |
| Michael Hoomanawanui | 5 | 5 | 49 | 0 |
| Nate Solder | 1 | 1 | 16 | 1 |
| Brandon Bolden | 1 | 1 | 11 | 0 |
| James Develin | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Pats running backs are also a dicey proposition, considering Bill Belichick is utterly unafraid of switching up from a hearty diet of LeGarrette Blount—who looked every bit the part of an MVP with his rushing performance against the Colts—and mixing in more of Shane Vereen.
Indeed, Blount carried the ball 30 times against the Colts and just thrice against the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round.
Russell Wilson almost certainly won't throw four interceptions again—but go ahead, hunt down the odds for that prop bet if you're feeling lucky—but if Seattle is going to win this game, Marshawn Lynch will likely be a huge part of it. He rushed for 157 yards and one score against the Packers, and he gave the offense plenty of lift and life in that contest only to see Wilson snuff out drives with his errant throws for the majority of the game.

Lynch is the backbone of this offense and a solid bet, although Wilson is always a threat to make a few big plays with his legs and pad his stat line. His turnaround at the end of the Packers contest in the NFC Championship Game was heartening for Seahawks fans, and he should be as focused as ever coming into the Super Bowl.
Seattle defensive players are saucy picks here, especially considering unheralded linebacker Malcolm Smith walked away with the MVP trophy after the 2014 Super Bowl.
Richard Sherman is a dicey proposition considering his damaged wing, but Kam Chancellor could be an interesting play, as he figures to be heavily involved in the action while covering Gronk.

That table is merely a sampler platter of all the prop bets available. If you can dream it, you can bet on it, it seems. The national anthem is a peculiar focus; multiple prop bets exist relating to the obligatory belting of the song. Idina Menzel is a bona fide professional; don't count on her to miss any words. Even if she does flub it, she'll quickly let it go (*rim shot*).
The Bill Belichick hoodie-type bet is a fun one, but it could be tough. Game-time temperature and conditions would seemingly be a factor in most cases. However, this Super Bowl takes place in the climate-controlled confines of the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona.

That makes this bet anyone's guess. Perhaps a hoodie up or down proposition would be easier. Under a closed roof, one would imagine Belichick is far less likely to go with the Sith Lord look.
The Brady-passing yards bet is quite interesting. He's racked up 593 yards through the air in two playoff games, but Seattle's Legion of Boom allowed a paltry 186 passing yards per game during the regular season.
One has to imagine the Patriots will look to establish the run in this contest considering Blount's success in these playoffs, but if anyone is to challenge the league's most fearsome secondary and succeed, it's Brady. Of course, there is also the risk of garbage-time passing yards for Brady if this Super Bowl turns into a Seattle slaughter like it did last year.
Chancellor is certainly a player to keep an eye on in this year's Super Bowl, as is the over/under on the number of tackles he might get on Feb. 1. He notched five total tackles against the Packers and 11 in the divisional-round win over the Carolina Panthers. He will be playing against an offense that loves to utilize the tight end and features a powerful running back.

Bleacher Report's Matt Bowen detailed how the star safety might match up against Gronkowski in this contest:
"With Chancellor, I’m looking for the safety to walk down over Gronkowski in both the Seahawks’ base and nickel fronts to get hands on the tight end at the release. Given his size (6’3”, 232 lbs) and physical style of play, Chancellor has the ability to attack Gronkowski's chest plate, slide his feet and stay square. Shut down the release, win at the point of attack and tell Brady to go somewhere else with the ball.
"
Chancellor playing tight coverage on Gronk would put him in the thick of many a scrum and also potentially give him more of a chance to stick his nose in the running game if he's closer to the line of scrimmage. However, if he manages to shut down Gronk and forces Brady to throw elsewhere for much of the contest, his tackles total could suffer. Then again, from the way his teammates describe him, it sounds like he will have no trouble hunting down other ball-carriers to get his total up in the Super Bowl.
"A pack of wild dogs is dangerous, but a lion running with a pack of dogs—that's something else," said Sherman, via KOMONews.com's Tim Lewis.
Predicting the coin toss is an ever-popular prop bet. No comment here on heads or tails. It's not anything like betting on toast falling buttered side up or down; that one's much easier.
