DraftKings Fantasy Football 2015: Pro Bowl, Super Bowl Optimum Lineup
Fantasy Pro Bowl?! Yes, it is a thing. Thank goodness, for degenerates like us.
Draft Kings keeps our money-grab fantasies alive with the Pro Bowl-Super Bowl "Desert Bowl." See, daily fantasy laws require there to be more than one game on the schedule, so they combine the Super Bowl with the Pro Bowl here. Pure DFS genius.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This is a tricky one because Pro Bowl playing time tends to vary widely, but if you're in, we're in.
Here are our position-by-position rankings of the top plays this week and next:
Quarterbacks
You might love the talent and the wide-open Pro Bowl, but there is no telling how much the Pro Bowl quarterbacks will play. It is more likely the backups who will get the bulk of the duty when the game is most loose in the second half.
If you roll the dice on a Pro Bowl guy, go with a bargain like Andy Dalton...seriously. Wouldn't it be poetic justice for all those who criticize him for even being in the game?
The Super Bowl quarterbacks are the more wise selections. We would rather have Russell Wilson attacking the Pats with the play-action pass than Tom Brady facing the No. 1 pass defense in football.
| RK | Name | Salary | PPG |
| 1 | Russell Wilson | $7,600 | 21.9 |
| 2 | Tom Brady | $7,900 | 20.1 |
| 3 | Andrew Luck | $6,400 | 23.7 |
| 4 | Drew Brees | $5,900 | 21.7 |
| 5 | Matt Ryan | $5,000 | 19.9 |
| 6 | Matthew Stafford | $5,500 | 17.4 |
| 7 | Tony Romo | $6,100 | 18.7 |
| 8 | Andy Dalton | $4,500 | 15.4 |
| 9 | Tarvaris Jackson | $3,000 | 0.0 |
| 10 | B.J. Daniels | $3,000 | 0.0 |
| 11 | Jimmy Garoppolo | $3,000 | 1.7 |
Running Backs
We like motivated players. Sure, Marshawn Lynch and LeGarrette Blount are the Super Bowl workhorses, but the pending free agents in the Pro Bowl are interesting plays, especially with the defenses to be lax. They are certainly motivated to make headlines before free agency.
We go with Mark Ingram as the top play because of his reduced price. If you're spending on a premium guy, you have to figure Lynch is going to get at least one opportunity to grab his crotch in front of the world...as much as we hate to say it.
Lynch and Blount will get more snaps, but one of the Pro Bowl plays could go off in a more wide-open game. Here is how we would line them up for your daily lineups:
| 1 | Mark Ingram | $2,900 | 15.8 |
| 2 | Marshawn Lynch | $7,800 | 19.8 |
| 3 | LeGarrette Blount | $5,500 | 7.7 |
| 4 | DeMarco Murray | $5,100 | 24.0 |
| 5 | Justin Forsett | $3,100 | 16.2 |
| 6 | Jamaal Charles | $4,400 | 17.1 |
| 7 | C.J. Anderson | $3,200 | 14.6 |
| 8 | Alfred Morris | $2,400 | 11.9 |
| 9 | Shane Vereen | $5,000 | 10.1 |
| 10 | Brandon Bolden | $1,000 | 1.1 |
| 11 | Robert Turbin | $1,700 | 4.5 |
| 12 | Jonas Gray | $2,000 | 8.5 |
| 13 | Marcel Reece | $1,600 | 5.1 |
| 14 | John Kuhn | $1,000 | 1.4 |
| 15 | James Develin | $1,000 | 1.0 |
| 16 | Will Tukuafu | $1,000 | 0.3 |
| 17 | Christine Michael | $1,000 | 2.0 |
| 18 | James White | $1,000 | 3.7 |
Wide Receivers
You can bet the NFL will want rookie phenom Odell Beckham to put on a show regardless of what elite talent is covering him. The Super Bowl's elite defenders make the lesser receiving talents in that game equally sketchy plays.
Beckham looks like a sure thing for fireworks even if he has a high price.
One thing about the Pro Bowl receivers, you have to consider their quarterback cohorts. As we said above, we like Dalton to surprise people. He is going to potentially have the benefit of working with A.J. Green.
Also, Andrew Luck has T.Y. Hilton on his team, but we expect the game to be a little tighter early. That is why Hilton is a bit down on our board.
| 1 | Odell Beckham Jr. | $7,800 | 26.4 |
| 2 | Julian Edelman | $7,700 | 17.1 |
| 3 | Antonio Brown | $7,600 | 25.7 |
| 4 | Brandon LaFell | $5,500 | 13.4 |
| 5 | Jermaine Kearse | $4,800 | 8.0 |
| 6 | A.J. Green | $7,400 | 17.1 |
| 7 | Emmanuel Sanders | $5,400 | 19.7 |
| 8 | Jordy Nelson | $6,200 | 20.3 |
| 9 | Randall Cobb | $6,200 | 19.6 |
| 10 | Golden Tate | $5,800 | 17.4 |
| 11 | T.Y. Hilton | $6,900 | 17.4 |
| 12 | Doug Baldwin | $6,300 | 11.4 |
| 13 | Danny Amendola | $4,000 | 4.4 |
| 14 | Ricardo Lockette | $2,900 | 2.7 |
| 15 | Chris Matthews | $1,000 | 0.0 |
| 16 | Brian Tyms | $1,000 | 1.6 |
| 17 | Kevin Norwood | $1,700 | 1.9 |
| 18 | Matthew Slater | $1,000 | 0.0 |
| 19 | Bryan Walters | $1,000 | 0.8 |
| 20 | Josh Boyce | $1,000 | 0.0 |
Tight Ends
Jimmy Graham told the NFL media this week he plans to dunk after a Pro Bowl touchdown, per NFL.com's Kevin Patra. It sounds like something destined to happen. The league needs the drama for its struggling all-star showcase:
"One hundred percent. Hopefully, they get me the ball. I'm for sure (going to dunk). Hopefully I won't get fined this time. Last time that fine was a little bit steep, especially for a preseason game.
"
Rob Gronkowski is a solid play, too, but going with Graham over Gronk saves you some money.
| 1 | Jimmy Graham | $6,200 | 14.7 |
| 2 | Rob Gronkowski | $8,100 | 18.5 |
| 3 | Luke Willson | $4,800 | 5.9 |
| 4 | Greg Olsen | $4,400 | 13.7 |
| 5 | Martellus Bennett | $3,100 | 14.2 |
| 6 | Jason Witten | $3,900 | 10.5 |
| 7 | Tim Wright | $1,700 | 4.9 |
| 8 | Cooper Helfet | $1,000 | 3.9 |
| 9 | Tony Moeaki | $1,700 | 3.9 |
| 10 | Michael Hoomanawanui | $1,000 | 1.0 |
| 11 | RaShaun Allen | $1,000 | 0.0 |
Defense/Special Teams
We don't expect any of the offenses to be real sloppy with the football or poor in pass protection. We figure there is little to gain by going with one of the Super Bowl defenses over the Pro Bowl defenses. There might be just a few points difference despite a $2,300-$3,000 gap in price. Save your coins here.
If you are picking a Pro Bowl defense—yes, we know, there is no defense played in the Pro Bowl, but turnovers are not banned—go with Team Carter over Team Irvin. Irvin's team has more turnover-prone quarterbacks.
| 1 | Team Carter | $1,000 |
| 2 | Team Irvin | $1,000 |
| 3 | Patriots | $3,300 |
| 4 | Seahawks | $4,000 |
