Super Bowl 2015: Date, Location, Ticket Price Costs for Patriots vs. Seahawks
Call up your banker because it might take a small loan to go to this year’s Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.
Considering the game is a matchup between last year’s champions and the most recent team to win back-to-back titles, that shouldn’t come as a surprise. There are superstars all over the field, from Tom Brady and Russell Wilson under center to Rob Gronkowski and Marshawn Lynch on offense to Richard Sherman and Darrelle Revis on defense.
Here is a look at the information for that game, including the expensive ticket prices.

Ticket Prices

Jonathan Berr of CBS News noted that the average ticket price, per SeatGeek, is $3,262, which is incredibly a 17 percent increase from Sunday night. The prices are actually rising the closer we get to the game, which is an alarming trend for those hoping prices fall throughout the week.
Berr also contrasted the average price for last year’s game on SeatGeek, which was a cheaper $2,536.
SeatGeek spokesman Connor Gregoire discussed the ticket price increases, via Berr: "I definitely didn't foresee there being an increase in ticket prices. There isn't a precedent for it in recent Super Bowls."

Berr also pointed out that tickets are 20 percent more expensive on StubHub than they were last year and 25 percent more on TicketMaster’s NFL Ticket Exchange.
There are a number of factors that could be at play here, including the weather fears for last year’s game that was in New Jersey’s Met Life Stadium. What’s more, there is an element of history at play this season because Brady is playing in his sixth Super Bowl (the most ever for a quarterback), while the Seahawks are trying to win a second consecutive title.
Jesse Lawrence of Forbes noted that there is not the expected fatigue from familiar players and teams in the Super Bowl:
"Since both the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots have been in Super Bowls recently, there was some concern over fan fatigue affecting ticket prices. That concern has not yet come to fruition. It’s also an encouraging sign during a mostly dead week of football activity that demand has been increasing on the secondary market.

Prediction
New England has one of the best offenses in the NFL behind Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, LeGarrette Blount and Julian Edelman, but Seattle’s defense is a force of nature.
The Seahawks finished first in the NFL in scoring defense, first in total defense, first against the pass and third against the run and will use their physical style of play to limit New England’s dangerous passing attack. Safeties Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas will keep Gronkowski in check, while Sherman will limit Edelman.
On the other side, the Seahawks feature the league’s top rushing attack and will keep Brady and company on the sidelines by moving the chains behind Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson.
This Super Bowl, like last year’s, will go the route of the cliche—defense wins championships.
Prediction: Seahawks 24, Patriots 17
