NBA All-Star Game 2015: Latest Reaction to All Starters and Top Snubs
The starters for the 2015 All-Star Game have been announced, and unsurprisingly, fans around the nation don't agree with every pick.
This year's group of starters features an interesting mix of established stars and younger talents, although not all of them have put together their best seasons. Still, there is no one to blame but the ones who voted.
Here is a full look at the starting lineups for each conference:
| John Wall (WAS) | G | Stephen Curry (GS) |
| Kyle Lowry (TOR) | G | Kobe Bryant (LAL) |
| LeBron James (CLE) | F | Blake Griffin (LAC) |
| Carmelo Anthony (NYK) | F | Anthony Davis (NO) |
| Pau Gasol (CHI) | F | Marc Gasol (MEM) |
To the surprise of some, Stephen Curry was the leading vote-getter in the process, according to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle:

Kurt Helin of Pro Basketball Talk was proud the fans made the correct call:
On the other hand, there were more questions about fellow guard Kobe Bryant being selected to the game. The Los Angeles Lakers guard has been relatively inefficient this season on a team that has struggled. Things also got worse Thursday when it was discovered he has a torn rotator cuff.
Charles Barkley of TNT was upset James Harden did not get a spot:
Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr also had great things to say about Harden, who is currently leading the NBA in scoring with 27.2 points per game:
Still, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com noted it's almost a habit to put Bryant in the All-Star Game:
There is obviously the question of whether Bryant will be able to play in the game, but you can be certain Harden will be ready to go as a reserve.
As for the frontcourt, it's hard to complain about any of the selections between Anthony Davis, Blake Griffin and Marc Gasol. Shane Young of Hoops Habit notes the most interesting part of the battle in the low post:
There was a bit more surprise in the Eastern Conference, as Kyle Lowry was able to overtake Dwyane Wade in the final voting. Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders was happy to see the Toronto Raptors guard get his due:
Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders breaks down what made the difference:
On the final day of voting, Justin Bieber got his own fans involved:
Even with this push, it's hard to argue Lowry doesn't deserve this prestigious honor.
Overall, most of the selections are well deserved, as argued by John Schuhmann of NBA.com:
Not seeing big names like Wade, Chris Bosh, Kevin Durant, Tim Duncan and others in the starting lineup is a bit of a surprise. Eric Freeman of Yahoo Sports wants to see at least one of them listed as a reserve when those are released:
It seems Durant's time missed due to injury kept him on the outside looking in for the fan vote.
Meanwhile, the top team in the Eastern Conference has zero starters, but Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer thinks the Atlanta Hawks will be represented at some point:
Despite these issues, it's hard to argue too much with the overall selections for the 2015 All-Star Game.
