Paulo Dybala Transfer Rumours: Latest News on Manchester United, Arsenal Target
Neither Manchester United nor Arsenal will sign Paulo Dybala from Palermo during the January transfer window, but club president Maurizio Zamparini predicts a deal could be on this summer.
The talkative chief continues to speak openly about Dybala. He knows the 21-year-old striker will eventually move on but recently suggested his self-made valuation of £40 million may be too expensive and grounded in his love for the player.
Zamparini spoke to Parlamento (h/t Aaron Flanagan of the Mirror) about the starlet, confessing England is the player's long-term preference:

"He will renew his deal and sign a three-year deal, and if he continues to play that well in the next six months then a big club from abroad will sign him. Where will he go? Abroad. In order I would say England, France, Germany and Spain, because the two big clubs in Spain (Real and Barca) already have a lot of forwards.
This renewal is also for his own good. He is destined to go to a great club. It's useless to talk about a price. With Zamparini, it is always expensive.
"

Zamparini thinks Dybala has the quality to eventually rank among the world's best. Despite previously saying "within two years, he's going to be better than Cristiano Ronaldo, (Lionel) Messi and (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic," per David Wright of the Express, Zamparini believes the forward "still has to grow for another four or five years," per Flanagan.
So, with potential business likely in the next two transfer windows, Zamparini's thoughts on Dybala have become far more grounded. Quite often the prospect of a huge fee can force club officials into overplaying the price needed for their star—Kevin Strootman at Roma and Alexandre Lacazette at Lyon are two current examples—but Zamparini now appears realistic on what Palermo can receive for their man.
Dybala has netted 10 goals in 18 appearances this season, per WhoScored.com. He is creative on the ball and has also contributed six assists to a Palermo side who can be pleased with their eighth-place position in Serie A.

Quite amazingly, it's been 10 games since Dybala failed to assist or score for the Sicilian side. He has eight goals and four assists in this consecutive stretch of matches running back until Nov. 2, most recently notching the opener during Palermo's 1-1 draw with Roma on Saturday.
Alex Shaw of ESPN FC suggested United could act on their interest at the end of the season:
Dybala recently admitted he would like to play in the Premier League, more specifically for Arsenal, before the link to United gained momentum. Serie A specialist David Amoyal tweeted his comments:
You can see the player's quality below:
The developing striker enjoys quality on the ball, vision for a pass and a turn of speed which is currently missing at Old Trafford. He is comfortable with possession at his feet and could slot straight into Arsene Wenger's side at Arsenal, meaning his next career choice is likely to be prosperous no matter what.
Zamparini won't stand in the player's way when the time is right. Palermo's push to gain Europa League football means this is most likely the end of the season, a time where Louis van Gaal and Arsene Wenger are expected to significantly improve their squads.
Dybala's price could keep increasing if he continues to produce until the summer. He is growing in stature each week, becoming a more confident leader for Palermo. As such, he is likely to fund a whole new Rosanero squad investment sooner rather than later.
