Super Bowl 2015: Predictions and Updated Odds Ahead of Divisional Round
Eight teams are left in the NFL playoffs following the Wild Card Round, with nearly all of the top seeds still intact.
The only team to drop of the top-four seeds was the Pittsburgh Steelers, who fell to the surging Baltimore Ravens. Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers—the only team to make the postseason with a losing record—routed the Arizona Cardinals to secure a date with the Seattle Seahawks.
Of course, the top seeds in each bracket have the best chance to advance and ultimately win the Super Bowl. But every bettor at this point in the playoffs is looking to find the best underdog to ride all the way to a huge payout after the big game.

Super Bowl Prediction: New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers
Still nearly a month away, the Super Bowl will no doubt be the center of the sports universe. Having a matchup with two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL makes it all the more enticing.
Two of the most complete teams in the league this season have been the Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots. While the Packers defense has been a question mark at times, they took down the Patriots earlier this year.
During that victory for Green Bay, Eddie Lacy was a huge component with 115 total yards. He wasn't able to touch paydirt like Jordy Nelson or Richard Rodgers, but Lacy has been a catalyst for the offense all season long.
Having a potent running back in January gives Green Bay a distinct advantage due to the weather conditions. Lacy is more than comfortable running during the winter, but defenders aren't always quite as ready to take him on.
"I think the way I run definitely helps me because it's real cold and you don't want to get hit," Lacy said, via PackersNews.com. "Just as much as I don't want to get hit when it's cold, defenders don't want to hit me while it's cold. I guess it just comes down to the mindset."
On the other side of Lacy, DeMarco Murray will definitely be going up against Green Bay's front, and Marshawn Lynch might be facing it in the NFC Championship Game. Even against a great running team in the Cowboys, the Pack still have an even playing field at home, as Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News notes:
Along with the Packers, the Patriots will trudge their way through the bracket to make the big game for the sixth time during Tom Brady's career. Tom Terrific won in his first three Super Bowls but has lost his last two to the New York Giants.
Unlike the Packers, New England holds home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. That puts the Patriots in a great spot after a dominant season at Gillette, via Ben Volin of The Boston Globe:
Both are deserving of reaching the ultimate goal of playing in Glendale, Arizona, so the Super Bowl would pit two thriving franchises against one another. Just two weekends of playoff football separates them from the big game, so the pressure will be on during the divisional round to survive and advance.
