WWE TLC 2014 Matches: Breaking Down Biggest Bouts on the Card
This year's TLC pay-per-view, which will emanate from Cleveland on December 14, is enhanced by a very solid lineup. In fact, there are several bouts on the card that look set to be tremendous. By the looks of things, WWE is ending the year in some real style.
Seth Rollins vs. John Cena
The main event, which will see John Cena face off against Seth Rollins, holds great intrigue. Not only does the bout mark the culmination of Cena's great feud with the former Shield member, but his No. 1 contender status for a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will also be on the line.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The leader of the Cenation losing is a very real possibility. WWE may decide that the prospect of yet another Brock Lesnar-Cena bout just isn't terribly appealing to fans. And frankly, it does sound like a rather tiresome main event.

Meanwhile, Rollins has emerged as a great heel. Scripting him to lose in the main event of a show when he's gaining momentum just doesn't make any sense.
The result of this main event will go a long way in telling fans where the company's priorities are right now. A victory for Cena—meaning his title shot would remain intact—would indicate that the writers are solidly behind his push.
It would also mean Rollins is at real risk of being unable to crack the glass ceiling like so many before him—a rather depressing prospect.
Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt
Dean Ambrose is scheduled to go up against Bray Wyatt at the Cleveland show. This program has heated up in recent weeks—both men are showing convincing hatred and passion—and TLC could mark a terrific ending of this storyline.
The bout could be a potential show-stealer, especially if WWE gives the two men enough time to go out there and show what they can do.
There’s also an intriguing storyline that's recently developed: On SmackDown, Ambrose suffered what appeared to be a serious neck injury at the hands of Wyatt. However, WWE noted days later on its website that he's been cleared for active competition. Presumably, the company is setting him up to “overcome the odds” at the show.

Indeed, Ambrose's emerging victorious from the match seems likely; WWE has got something truly special in him, and a big win on pay-per-view would serve to put him in a great position heading into the Royal Rumble.
And provided Wyatt is allowed to look strong in the match, there's no reason a loss here has to significantly hinder his career.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Luke Harper

In another match that sounds extremely promising, Dolph Ziggler will attempt to win back his Intercontinental Championship from rising heel Luke Harper in a Ladder match.
While Ziggler may have been the victim of some erratic booking over the past 18 months, his in-ring talent remains as phenomenal as ever. He’s still one of the very best performers on the roster.
Harper, too, has improved massively as a wrestler since he debuted in July 2013. He’s really stepped up over the past month as his push has increased.
Throw in a ladder, and fans are virtually guaranteed a thrilling match. The bumps and dives in this match will be out of this world.
