Pro Wrestling: Keeping Things Clean for the Younger Minds
Hello everyone. As always, thank you for spending a few moments with me today.
I don't know about all of you people, but were you ever watching wrestling and something would happen so off the wall that you would say to yourself WTF? I know I have plenty of times during my time as a 'rasslin fan.
In the crazy world of wrestling just about anything and everything can happen. What is even stranger is how us as rational human beings can watch it. You would think at some point even most diehard fans would say, "Ok, enough is enough."

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Only in pro wrestling can two men oil themselves up, roll around on a mat, and this is somehow not gay. While other non wrestling fans say it is; to us though it is perfectly normal.
If I invited a friend over and then decided to bash his skull in with a sledge hammer, not only would I be in jail, but my friend would be most likely buried. In pro wrestling though it is somehow ok, and no one ever seems to go to the hospital.
Now maybe in your part of town Necrophilia is ok, but where I am from it is highly frowned upon. In our wacky world of wrestling though, it is not only ok, but is cheered for by thousands of people.
We all know that this is staged and is not real. To the outside world though, this seems not only ludicrous but dangerous to our young minds. It is examples like the ones mentioned why wrestling gets zero respect.
I will be honest with all of you folks, I really can't blame them for feeling this way.
I know that there are many of you that would like to see the Attitude Era return. It was entertaining and probably the highest rated next to the Hogan years. Did the Attitude Era do more bad than good, though.
We cry as a community that we want respect, but can you honestly respect some of the WWE's behavior? How is it that the WWE can take a good moral stance such as CM Punk's straight edge gimmick, and somehow make it bad.
The last I heard it was a good thing if your kids decided to say no to drugs and drinking. I realize that the heel part of the gimmick is the way he looks down on people. Do you think every kid understands this, though?
The truth is the WWE and all of wrestling needs to step back and look at what it portrays to its kids. It is after all the kids that will be the future fans. I know it sounds like I am preaching, but I as a parent only want what's best for my kid.
I watched wrestling as a kid and it was good and wholesome. I would like for my son to be able to enjoy it too. I am not saying take away all the fun and entertainment from it. I just don't kids to think its all right to have sex with dead bodies.
I also agree that it is the parents job to censor their kids. That is why I let my son watch it only I have seen it and approved it. The problem with that is he rarely gets to watch it.
Its just sad that it has to be done though. This is a joy and passion that should be shared amongst the young and old.
I know wrestling may seem more tamed and censored these days. Does it really matter though if the wrestling is good. In the end, good wrestling will always trump shocking story lines.
I know it may be harder for some fans to appreciate what I am saying. If you take some time and think about it, though, it does make sense. In order to keep young fans watching it has to be ok to watch.
I would like thank all of you for spending a few minutes with me today.
As always, have a great day and God bless.
