WWE Main Event Results: Winners, Twitter Reaction and Analysis from December 2
Welcome to Bleacher Report's recap of this week's Main Event. Here is where we take a look at what happened on the show, examining the winners, reactions to matches and any possible ramifications coming out of the program.
This was a solid episode for the Tuesday night wrestling program. There was a little something for everyone and a great main event to cap off the night.
The great thing about this show is that it's never packed with filler or overexposed stars. The guys in the middle of the roster are typically featured, and this episode was evidence of that.

Let's take a look at what happened on Main Event this week.
Titus O'Neil vs. Jack Swagger
Two big powerhouses opened the show with a very physical match. There wasn't a lot of wrestling in this one. It was all about strength.
Titus O'Neil looked pretty good for the first time in months. The pairing were given more than two minutes to work, and Jack Swagger is the kind of guy who takes care of his opponents.
Swagger's willingness to sell is one of his most underappreciated traits. He might not be the flashiest in the ring, but he is consistently good when he needs to be.
Swagger picked up the win with a Patriot Lock and then delivered a promo directed at Rusev and the United States Championship.
Winner: Jack Swagger
Grade: B
Notes and Highlights:
- O'Neil really showed his strength when he threw Swagger into the barricade like a rag doll.
- Swagger showed his power when he scooped up O'Neil like he was nothing and slammed him to the mat.
- It's weird that O'Neil is the one guy who doesn't wear tape on his hands or wrists.
- WWE didn't upload this match to YouTube, so you can watch the top 10 moments from Raw instead.
Twitter Reaction:
Adam Rose and The Bunny vs. Gold and Stardust
This tag team bout was a rematch, which seems to indicate that there is a tiny feud building between the two strangest teams in WWE today.
Now that Adam Rose has stopped his stupid antics and become more aggressive, he is actually showing some of his wrestling ability.
Gold and Stardust picked up an easy win after Rose was hit with Dark Matter. Rose is beginning to act like Miz when he tags himself in to finish the match instead of letting his partner do it, but that ended up biting him in the end.
This is supposed to get us on The Bunny's side, but judging from the crowd's reaction, it doesn't seem to be working.
Winners: Gold and Stardust
Grade: C-
Notes and Highlights:
- Didn't Vince McMahon say he listened to the WWE Universe during his interview with Steve Austin? Why is this gimmick still going on if he listens?
- Stardust is starting to become a bit stale, which is sad because he hasn't been doing the character for that long. Maybe they took the titles off Gold and Stardust too soon.
- It was funny to see Stardust look at The Bunny like he was the weird one for wearing a rabbit costume.
Twitter Reaction:
Fandango vs. R-Truth
Fandango picked up a quick win over R-Truth thanks to a flying leg drop from the top rope. It wasn't a particularly great match, but it could have been a lot worse.
Both men showed some aggression, but they didn't have enough time to really do much. It basically came down to a few exchanges and a finisher.
Truth looked good early on, but he has been relegated to a jobber role, which is the saddest thing about all of this.
He is so talented in so many ways, but his age is definitely working against him at almost 43 years old. Then again, he looks better than 80 percent of the roster, so maybe it just comes down to the people in charge not thinking he can handle a larger role.
Winner: Fandango
Grade: C-
Notes and Highlights:
- Does Rosa actually know how to dance? She doesn't look nearly as coordinated as Summer Rae did when she was Fandango's valet.
- Rosa's implants are too big. They make her look way too top-heavy.
- If Fandango focused more on wrestling and less on posing, he would be really fun to watch. He's got more in his bag of tricks than most people realize.
Twitter Reaction:
Jimmy Uso vs. The Miz
Miz tried to apologize before the match and explain that he was just doing something nice by helping Naomi get in with a prestigious talent agency.
Of course, Miz eventually got punched in the face again by saying he could do more for Naomi than Jimmy ever could.
As soon as the bell rang, Jimmy was all over Miz. This was a vast shift from the usual offense we see from the Usos, but it was a nice change of pace.
Jimmy picked up the win with a Superfly Splash in what turned out to be the best match of the night. Miz is one of those guys who has pretty good chemistry with everyone simply because he has faced almost the entire roster at one point or another.
Winner: Jimmy Uso
Grade: A-
Notes and Highlights:
- The Usos gave an interview backstage that showed they can be more than happy babyfaces. They can actually show some anger, too.
- It's a little surprising Naomi wasn't at ringside considering she was the whole reason this match even happened.
- Damien Mizdow letting himself get splashed by Jey Uso was kind of dumb.
