Tyson Fury Is Pen Pals with 'Most Violent Prisoner in Britain' Charles Bronson
British heavyweight Tyson Fury has made a startling revelation prior to his big heavyweight rematch with Dereck Chisora on Saturday.
The undefeated Manchester fighter is sporting a full beard ahead of the fight and said the original inspiration behind it was notorious British criminal Charles Bronson.
Bronson has spent time in more than 120 different prisons, according to the Daily Mail, because he is deemed so dangerous. He is infamously known as "The most violent prisoner in Britain."
What's more, Fury also said he has become pen pals with Bronson and intends to visit him in prison.
Fury told The Sun (h/t the Daily Mirror):
"I was originally inspired by the beard that Charles Bronson grew. Now the beard is about going back to my heritage — the gypsies.
I have written to him a couple of times and he has written back to me. It was general stuff between us. You could say I suppose it is one crazy man to another.
I’m really busy at the moment but I would like to go and see him when I get the time.
"
Fury's beard has attracted lots of attention ahead of the clash, but according to the Daily Mail, he might have to shave it off before he steps in the ring.
The winner of the Chisora v Fury rematch will be next in line for a shot at Wladimir Klitschko's WBO World Heavyweight Championship belt.
Fury beat Chisora on points in 2011 and currently has a 22-0 record.
