WWE Survivor Series 2014 Results: Losers Who Will Rebound at TLC

Sharon GlencrossNov 25, 2014

Expect a few of the people who lost at Survivor Series to rebound at TLC next month—WWE's even-stevens booking mentality all but guarantees it.

AJ Lee

AJ Lee lost her Divas Championship to Nikki Bella in just 33 seconds after a distraction—in the form of a kiss—from Brie Bella. She also lost again to Nikki on Monday's Raw.

Interestingly, Mike Johnson of PWInsider dismissed rumors that Lee could potentially be on her way out of the company, saying there were no issues between her and WWE right now.

So Lee will probably get another match at TLC—one that is much competitive. As for whether she wins the belt back, it probably depends on how well Nikki copes with carrying the Divas division.

While she may have the looks and the personality, she could be too inexperienced as a wrestler to truly thrive in her current position. If so, expect WWE to make the call to switch the belt.

Dean Ambrose

In other news from the St. Louis show, Dean Ambrose may have technically lost by DQ to Bray Wyatt. He brought in numerous weapons, including a table, and used them to viciously attack his foe—but expect him to deliver a solid and, yes, winning performance at TLC. The re-match between the pair was officially announced by WWE.com on Sunday night.

While Ambrose's star power may have diminished somewhat in recent times, he's still one of the most interesting babyfaces the company has, and the bookers will surely want to put him in a good position heading into the Royal Rumble—hence why he should pick up the win in Cleveland.

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins, too, found himself on the losing side in the main event of Survivor Series—although at least he lasted until the very end before Sting stormed in and cost him the bout.

And now, with his corporate masters out of power, Rollins finds his career in a rather precarious predicament. Poor Rollins. No wonder John Cena and Dolph Ziggler were laughing at him on Raw.

Come TLC, expect him to rebound in some manner or other—he still does have his Money in the Bank title shot which he will surely cash in at some point. WWE has to work to keep him strong and credible-looking until them. Nothing is set in stone yet as to who is opponent will be, but Ziggler might be the best bet judging by their interactions on TV recently.

The bout would probably be spectacular, too. Both guys are arguably the two best wrestlers on the active roster right now.

Rusev

Rollins’ team member Rusev also came out of Survivor Series as a loser, although at least WWE made more of an effort to protect him. He was eliminated by count out, not a pin or submission.

Similar to Rollins, expect the star to rebound with a solid victory. Amazingly, veteran wrestler Sgt. Slaughter—the two had a confrontation on Monday’s Raw over the Pledge of Allegiance—could be a candidate. The match probably wouldn’t be too bad, provided it’s kept short.

By the looks of things, this year's TLC event is shaping up to be a very compelling pay-per-view, particularly if the company does choose to go with Rollins vs. Ziggler and Rusev vs. Slaughter.
