Chris Johnson, Chris Ivory's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 12
The New York Jets' rushing attack was ranked in the top three in the NFL before Week 12's difficult Monday matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
Former 2,000-yard rusher Chris Johnson looked to be the more explosive option over Chris Ivory, but neither were able to be very productive in facing the Bills' top-10 rush defense amid a 38-3 loss.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Buffalo jumped out to a massive lead, forcing Jets quarterback Michael Vick to pass the ball often in an effort to get New York back into the game. The score was so lopsided that the Jets couldn't stick to the run, which hurt the rare momentum Johnson had and didn't allow Ivory to get into a true rhythm.
When Vick was rendered ineffective, the team reverted back to Geno Smith, as Around The NFL observed:
The MMQB's Peter King could hardly witness the Jets' overall brand of football, which doomed both Johnson and Ivory for the most part:
Ivory has been the workhorse when New York's ground game has clicked best in 2014, yet he can't be counted on as much more than an RB2 or flex fantasy play. While he's had two 100-yard games and other strong fantasy showings, Ivory also has six games of 44 yards rushing or less this season.
As for Johnson, he hasn't been a fantasy factor all season, and nothing that transpired in Week 12 changed his status as a tenuous flex play at best.
Incompetent quarterback play has plagued the Jets during coach Rex Ryan's tenure. It's also hurting their top two running backs in Ivory and Johnson from a fantasy perspective.
