Pacquiao vs. Algieri Odds: Latest Vegas Fight Lines for Pac-Man vs. Algieri
Typically a high-profile boxing card such as Manny Pacquiao vs. Chris Algieri has plenty of opportunities for bettors to make some nice coin on Las Vegas odds.
Just not Pacquiao vs. Algieri.
Saturday's card from Top Rank is strategically genius, but not entirely kind to bettors. As a way to further expand the sport's reach in China and beyond—the event takes place at The Venetian Macao in Macau—most bouts on the card are designed to get high-profile champions into even more households to build the sport's stars of tomorrow.
That said, there is value to be had and money to be made for those who cannot resist adding some flair to the fights by placing cash on the line. Just do so armed with information.

Odds to Play
Antonio DeMarco (+230) vs. Jessie Vargas (-300)

One of Saturday's closer lines rests on a title fight in which Jessie Vargas hopes to defend his WBA super lightweight strap against the upstart Antonio DeMarco.
Bettors who want to get risky and make meaningful gains against the house should roll with the challenger.
The 25-year-old Vargas is no chump and an obvious name Top Rank wants to groom for superstardom, hence his being trained by Roy Jones Jr. But if a favorite is going to take a dive Saturday, odds are it will be Vargas.
It has little to do with Vargas, either. He is great at wearing down opponents and securing decisions. But DeMarco is a heavy hitter at the age of 28 years old who boasts a knockout percentage of 65.71. It is understandable, then, why Vargas has shown so much respect for his opponent leading up to the fight, per Mav Gonzales of GMA 7:
Vargas appears on the fast track to a fight with Pacquiao or someone higher up the food chain, especially if Saturday is a nice launch pad on an international scale.
But that assumes he gets a win over DeMarco. Against a hefty slugger with something to prove who also happens to tout an experience advantage, things may not come so easy. Remember, one punch can change everything.
If there is an underdog to bet Saturday, DeMarco is it.
Chris Algieri (+475) vs. Manny Pacquiao (-750)
The payout stinks, but for those who want to add some spice to the main event, do not get cute—roll with Pacquiao.
That is not to say Algieri is not dangerous. The man is 20-0 for a reason, most recently pulling off an upset over Ruslan Provodnikov. Sometimes confidence makes the most lopsided of underdogs all that more dangerous too, and it is a trait the challenger certainly does not lack going into Saturday.
"I'm where Manny used to be. Look where he came from, out of nowhere to become a boxing legend," Algieri said, per ESPN.com's Dan Rafael. "I've always trained like a champion. Now I've been treated like one during this promotion."

Algieri does have a few inches of advantage against Pacquiao in the height and reach departments, but it will likely be a moot point.
Pacquiao, despite a lack of a knockout over the course of the last five years, is still blindly fast and takes the perfect angles most of the time. Add in the fact that Algieri is going to be uncomfortable at the catchweight of 144 pounds, and, well, the Las Vegas lines are constructed as such for good reason.
On a card that is designed to help elevate certain fighters, especially those who have something to prove, expect an aggressive Pacquiao to come out gunning for a knockout to silence critics.
Again, it is not the most amazing play from a betting standpoint, but it is the only smart move for a lopsided encounter.
