Taylor Accepts Suspension
Jeff Taylor spoke about his suspension and the actions that led to the league's decision, via Rich Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer:
"Charlotte Hornets small forward Jeff Taylor has decided not to appeal the 24-game suspension imposed by NBA commissioner Adam Silver, regarding Taylor pleading guilty to a domestic-violence charge in Michigan.
(...)
'I take full responsibility for what happened. My actions were wrong so I don’t care to appeal a decision that was based off of my actions being wrong,'
Taylor said. 'So I respect the league’s decision on the suspension and I’ll take all the necessary steps to make sure that never happens again.'
(...)
Taylor has begun a counseling program on domestic violence and an out-patient alcohol treatment program. He sounded concerned and contrite Monday about making amends and eventually restoring his reputation
'I made genuinely bad decisions. I wish I could go back and change them,' Taylor said.
'I feel a lot of sorrow. I hurt somebody who I care about a lot. I hurt my family, I hurt people I’ve known in the past, anybody I had any kind of relationship with. I know I disappointed a whole lot of people.
'I’m sorry for any pain I’ve caused.'

Taylor Suspended 24 Games
Commissioner Adam Silver announced the news Wednesday, via USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt:
CNN's Rachel Nichols provided the NBA's full statement:
Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Taylor won't appeal the punishment:
Earlier this year, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell revamped the league's domestic violence policy after a wave of incidents, mandating a six-game suspension for first-time offenders. As Bleacher Report's Ethan J. Skolnick pointed out, Taylor's punishment equates to nearly a five-game suspension in the NFL:
Following an incident at a hotel with a woman in September, Taylor was arrested on charges of domestic assault, assault and malicious destruction of property. In October, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence and malicious destruction of property.
According to Silver's statement, an internal NBA investigation concluded that Taylor shoved the woman, causing her to hit her head on a hotel door. He also punched a hole in a wall near his hotel room.
Taylor has missed the team's first 11 games on paid leave as the investigation has been ongoing. He will be suspended for an additional 13 games and will "suffer a financial penalty equal to 24 games," per Silver's statement.
