TNA Impact Wrestling: Complete Preview, Rumors, News and More for November 12

Donald WoodNov 11, 2014

Last week’s Impact Wrestling featured TNA world champion Bobby Roode retaining his title and The Hardys winning the tag team tournament, but this Wednesday’s episode will feature a heavy load of storyline progression.

With former champion Lashley looking to get answers from MVP and wanting his rematch against Roode, Samoa Joe expected to make a blockbuster announcement and Eric Young scheduled in a match against Tyrus, Impact Wrestling is once again must-watch TV.

Here is all the vital viewing information for Wednesday’s episode of Impact Wrestling.

Lashley Won’t Go Quietly into That Good Night

There is no doubt that Bobby Roode deserved to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, but how TNA has booked Lashley since he won the title (and then lost it) has been nearly perfect.

After being passed over for a title match last week, it was clear that Lashley was angry at MVP for taking his spot. The former champion wants his rematch against Roode, and he will be on Wednesday’s episode to address the entire situation.

Question on Everybody's Mind: When Will Lashley Get a Rematch?

There were subtle teases toward a face turn at the end of Lashley's title run, but the more tension teased between Lashley and MVP, the clearer it is that the former champion will be booked as a top face in the company soon.

Lashley will get his eventual rematch and likely lose, but the loss should come via interference from MVP. After getting fed up with MVP’s actions, Lashley would then have the crowd’s support attacking his former friend, and the long-term storyline would be in full effect.

After the months of build and storyline progression, MVP vs. Lashley would be a marquee co-main event on any pay-per-view.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Rebuilt Top Stars

When Lashley returned to TNA, many wrestling fans were skeptical of how he would be booked and the impact he would make. Since re-debuting in March, Lashley has been booked as an unstoppable force, and fans care about him again.

Lashley’s loss to Roode was a big deal for wrestling fans.

The level of interest in Lashley is a testament to how well he has been booked by the company, and his run as champion has given fans a reason to cheer him when he fully turns face. Impact Wrestling has done a great job making Lashley look like a top star.

Samoa Joe’s Announcement, Eric Young vs. Tyrus and More

For TNA fans, Samoa Joe is one of the greatest wrestlers in the company’s history, and he has held the X-Division Championship with pride for months. Unfortunately, the champion suffered an injury in the finals of the tag team tournament last week and was taken to a local hospital via ambulance, according to the company’s website.

ImapctWrestling.com revealed that Samoa Joe would be on this week’s episode, but he will be there to make an announcement, not wrestle. This is a bad sign for TNA fans and likely will be the champion vacating the title due to injury. The hope from wrestling fans is that the injury isn’t too severe, and Joe will be back sooner rather than later.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Will Eric Young or Tyrus Win?

Former world champion Eric Young is one of the most entertaining men in the wrestling business today, and the idea of a storyline against Ethan Carter III and his bodyguard Tyrus should result in entertaining segments each week.

Continue adding in Rockstar Spud, and this is a great secondary storyline.

The match between Young and Tyrus won’t be a technical masterpiece, but it’s all about telling a story the fans can get behind. Young has the ability to connect with fans, and the resulting matchup should be one everyone will thoroughly enjoy. Tyrus should win via interference from ECIII.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Secondary Storylines

Another entertaining secondary storyline right now is the battle between Gunner and Samuel Shaw. The inclusion of Brittany has added another element of crazy to this feud, and Wednesday’s No Disqualification match should be very physical.

Neither man is the best technical wrestler, but with a storyline based on a friendship destroyed by betrayal, this match should resemble a street fight more than a classic mat-based match. With weapons galore, this match should be brutal and will likely end with a distraction from Brittany.
