WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from November 10, 2014

Erik BeastonNov 11, 2014

Much of the November 10 episode of Raw was dedicated to the Team Cena vs. Team Authority storyline, and with Survivor Series just less than two weeks away, it was easy to see why. Each team added new members; The Authority opted for bigger, nastier and more physically dominant wrestlers such as Rusev and Mark Henry, while Cena loaded his team with former world heavyweight champions like The Big Show and Sheamus.

By the end of the evening, however, it would be Ryback who stood after laying out all of Team Authority. After appearing to have joined Triple H and Stephanie's team of all-stars, the Big Guy proved that he has no friends, makes no allegiances and is only interested in tearing through Superstars en route to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Luke Harper made his return to the show as the culprit behind the creepy "eye" promos and the man behind an attack that left WWE intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler lying on the ground to end the show. The bearded Wyatt Family alumnus revealed that he is a "team player" and seemingly willing to play nice with Team Authority.

With the majority of the spotlight on the Survivor Series main event, Raw was a very focused show that, at times, wasted more time than necessary with talking segments, but it still managed to be interesting. The show did a great job of hyping the upcoming high-stakes elimination tag match on November 23.

As WWE's answer to the Fall Classic rapidly approaches, here now are the winners and losers from Monday's broadcast.

Winner: Ryback

By laying John Cena out at the top of the show, Ryback appeared to make a heel turn that threatened to kill the momentum he returned with two weeks ago. After leaving Team Authority in disarray to close out Raw, he proved that the only team the Big Guy plays for is Team Ryback, and that is exactly the sort of booking that will benefit him in the long run.

Ryback is not a generic babyface. He is not going to come to the ring smiling, shaking hands and kissing babies. He is a machine—the type of babyface that fans enjoy seeing tear through the competition. He is not a friendly guy or overly concerned with making friends. A team, especially a heel team in which bosses try to tell him what to do, does not suit him.

Walking away from the mess that is Team Cena vs. Team Authority was perfect and really put over the lone-wolf nature of Ryback.

Of course, he will still probably find his way to Team Cena as WWE pushes Ryback as a prospective main event babyface for the second time; however, in the long run, Ryback will benefit more from being on his own.

Loser: Jack Swagger

Poor Jack Swagger.

Early in the night, it appeared as though Swagger was on his way to headlining a WWE pay-per-view, something that no one could have expected. After all, he basically fell off the face of the earth following his feud with Bo Dallas and had not wrestled a Raw match in weeks. The announcement by Cena that he would be part of his team was a huge career boost and one that instantly put the Real American back in the spotlight.

Then he suffered a Curb Stomp and lost to Seth Rollins. A second Curb Stomp put him out of action and off Team Cena.

What a tease!

Winner: Luke Harper

The bearded big man from the Wyatt Family returned to television two weeks ago with video packages focused solely on his eyes. Early in Monday's broadcast, one of those same videos aired, this time as Dolph Ziggler entered the ring. Harper vowed to piece himself back together with pieces of the Showoff, hinting that a rivalry over the WWE Intercontinental Championship may be in the future of both Superstars.

By the end of the show, however, it became clear that Harper was poised for bigger and better things.

As The Authority watched on a monitor as Ryback very publicly split from their Survivor Series team, Ziggler was thrown at their feet, and Harper appeared before them. "I'm a team player," he said, staring somewhat maniacally at WWE's resident power couple.

It remains to be seen if Harper will officially join Team Authority, but he made a tremendous impact in the closing moments of Raw. The segment elevated his star instantly and introduced him to a suddenly crowded main event scene, which is most certainly not a bad thing.

Loser: Chris Jericho

Off WWE television since Night of Champions in September, Chris Jericho's return to WWE should have been a big deal. Instead, it was treated as an afterthought, as commentators Michael Cole announced that Y2J would appear on SmackDown to host Highlight Reel with The Authority.

For whatever reason, WWE management feels content in treating Jericho with a complete lack of respect. His last few returns have been treated with apathy by WWE Creative. While he was never a star on the level of The Rock and doesn't possess the appeal of Brock Lesnar, Jericho is one of the biggest stars of the last decade and deserves to be treated as such.

It remains to be seen if Jericho is back for any sort of year-end run, but returning on the B-show is not an ideal use of Y2J.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

Last week, fans were treated to a pre-taped video hyping a "New Day" in WWE. It featured Xavier Woods doing his best James Brown impression and came off as largely comical. Monday night, Kofi Kingston took center stage in a similar vignette and, for the first time in a while, was allowed to work the microphone and let his personality shine through.

Kingston is a charismatic performer who has remained over with audiences despite some truly awful booking. Injecting his character with some much-needed life and allowing him to talk is exactly what he needs to return to relevance.

Pairing him with Xavier Woods and Big E, as had been hinted at in the past, could make for a very fun and entertaining trio that puts all three back in the spotlight.
