WWE SmackDown Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from November 7
With the majority of the roster departing for the European tour, this week's SmackDown was left with fewer Superstars than normal. That was not necessarily a bad thing, however, as the spotlight was shone on some deserving individuals, particularly the Intercontinental and Tag Team champions.
Dolph Ziggler, a member of Team Cena at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV, squared off against Corporate Demon Kane inside a steel cage. Speaking of the cage, tag champions Gold & Stardust defended their titles against Jimmy and Jey Uso inside the unforgiving structure.
Elsewhere on the show, the budding rivalry between Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt developed further as they joined the returning Christian on the Peep Show.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Ryback dismantled Cesaro in impressive fashion, Tyson Kidd continued to grab some much-deserved main roster recognition and Adam Rose blasted the Bunny, signaling a change in attitude for the resident party animal.
With just two weeks until WWE presents its annual November spectacular, SmackDown was home to some of the week's biggest winners and losers.
Who were they? Let's take a look.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
Continuing to build momentum for himself as part of Team Cena and, thus, enemy to the Authority, Dolph Ziggler was afforded the opportunity to bask in the spotlight as one of the top babyfaces on Friday's broadcast.
Earning the ire of the Authority, Ziggler not only found himself on the receiving end of threats by Triple H, he also was booked in a cage match against one of the most sadistic and dangerous Superstars of all time: Kane.
Despite the overwhelming odds against him, the reigning Intercontinental champion defeated Kane and now enters Survivor Series with the most momentum he has experienced since capturing the World Heavyweight Championship in April 2013.
Hopefully WWE Creative listens to the crowd, gets a good indication of just how much they adore and appreciate Ziggler for all of the hard work and dedication he puts into his ring work and finally gives him a second chance at a legitimate main event run.
Loser: Adam Rose
After years spent in WWE's developmental system, mostly under the moniker of Leo Kruger, Adam Rose's arrival to the main roster should have been the defining moment of his career. Instead, the party animal was greeted with complete apathy by the WWE Universe, dooming his run before it ever got started.
On the Halloween episode of SmackDown, R-Truth even pointed out that the fans don't care about Rose, that the Bunny is more over. On Friday night, Rose allowed his frustrations to boil over and attacked the Bunny before leaving with the Rosebuds.
This sudden attitude change seems to indicate that WWE Creative recognizes the dire straits Rose finds himself in. It is a panic move by a writing staff that failed the former developmental standout from the moment he walked through the curtain.
Whether it works and allows Rose to gain some credibility with the fans remains to be seen, but one cannot deny that the downward spiral of the Rose character is easily one of the most disappointing stories of 2014.
Winner: Ryback
Since his return, Ryback has torn through the competition, defeating the likes of Bo Dallas and Titus O'Neil. Friday night, his climb back up the ladder was expedited when he demolished former United States champion and Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner Cesaro.
Ryback has been on a roll since his return from injury and will square off with former rival John Cena in the main event of this Monday's Raw, which was announced during Friday's broadcast.
A win over Cena would erase a year of disappointing bookings for the Big Guy and immediately return him to relevance as a potential main event babyface.
There are very few times that Vince McMahon and WWE Creative admit that they were wrong about a performer or made a mistake. That seems to be the case here, as the company attempts to rebuild Ryback and return him to the spot on the card he enjoyed prior to his loss to Mark Henry at WrestleMania 29.
Winners: Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt
Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt's rivalry prior to this week's SmackDown had been somewhat disappointing. WWE Creative had seemingly not come up with a clear path to take with the two Superstars or really developed a reason for the two to be feuding outside of Wyatt's involvement in the match between the Lunatic Fringe and Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell.
That all changed Friday evening, as Wyatt tapped into Ambrose's psyche and struck a nerve by bringing up his father. From there, he played more mind games, clearly leaving the unstable star shaken.
The segment was extremely well done, particularly the manner in which Wyatt disappeared from the top of the ramp, only to pop up behind Ambrose. It was a haunting image that will help define the rivalry in the weeks and months to come.
