The Miz and Damien Mizdow Would Be a Great Addition to Tag Team Division
It seems like somewhat of a recurring theme in the WWE, but yet again, the tag division is once more limping along from week to week.
Supposedly one of Triple H's major targets when he took over as chief operating officer of the WWE, the division has ebbed and flowed between some decent spells and leaner, rougher patches on TV.
That's down to a number of reasons, but perhaps the biggest one of all is the failure to capitalize on a packed roster by piecing together some of the talent that are currently operating as solo stars.

This was one of the major strengths of the WWE's tag division back in the Attitude Era, for example. The likes of Mankind and The Rock and Triple H and Steve Austin teamed up—and that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Certified stables such as D-Generation X and The Ministry of Darkness enabled there to be tag wrestling that didn't just have star power but also incorporated relevant storylines.
You can even fast-forward to more recent times, when Edge and Randy Orton were a fine example of two stars teaming up. The same could also be said for Chris Jericho and Big Show joining forces to create Jeri-Show.
Simply put, the current dilapidated state of the tag division means it needs more talent thrown into it. And that's why the WWE might have just stumbled across something by adding The Miz and Damien Mizdow to the division.
Not only are they a duo that seems to work quite well together, but Mizdow in particular has a strong rapport with the crowd. Clearly, his gimmick of imitating everything The Miz does is incredibly unique, and it's turned from a bit of a joke into something quite substantial—at least in the eyes of the WWE fans.
Maybe it's because there's a sense of injustice over Sandow's incredible plummet down the card following his failure to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. That could certainly be a logical reason why the fans are right behind him. But there's also the fact that besides all else, he's pretty entertaining in the role of Mizdow.
The Miz was an Intercontinental champion as recently as a couple of months ago, so there's no doubting that he will bring a level of star power to the division.
Although the WWE still puts a fair amount of spotlight on the tag team titles—currently held by Gold and Stardust—the company doesn't have much tag action going on elsewhere. Way back when, an edition of Raw could have had a good two or three tag matches, all of which would have a sustained feud behind them.
The tag division can still be a major success if the WWE would try to implement that kind of strategy and have several tag feuds going on at the same time. You could quite easily have Gold and Stardust and a team such as Los Matadores feuding for the belts whilst having The Usos do battle with The Miz and Mizdow.
It doesn't have to end there, either, but the WWE needs to ensure it can give better care and attention to its tag division. Having The Miz and Damien Mizdow in there is at least, if nothing else, a strong start.
