Ball Placed on IR
According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, the Broncos placed Ball on injured reserve, ending his season:
"Montee Ball entered this season with hopes of emerging as one of the NFL's elite running backs.
It ended in an injury-riddled disaster. Needing two roster spots to clear room for linebacker Danny Trevathan on the 53-man roster and tight end Dominique Jones on the practice squad, the Broncos placed Ball and safety Quinton Carter on season-ending injured reserved.

Ball Injures Groin vs. Rams
The Broncos confirmed the news on their Twitter account:
Following the game, Mike Klis of The Denver Post reported that Ball will undergo an MRI on Monday.
Ball had already missed considerable time in 2014 due to a nagging groin injury. That gave Ronnie Hillman the opportunity to emerge from a slew of unheralded ball-carriers as the feature back in Ball's absence.
However, Hillman is suffering from a foot injury of his own, leading to C.J. Anderson's rise as the primary ball-carrier.
Ball may have more to offer when he is fit to play again. He should be given a chance to shine, given the considerable investment Denver made in him.
