Romo finished the game having thrown for 191 yards and two touchdowns on 15-of-19 passing in a losing effort against the Packers.
Following the game, Charean Williams of Star-Telegram.com provided a statement from Romo discussing the injury:
"I banged it up last week. I don’t know what it is, what the term is. It goes dead at the tip. I wasn’t real comfortable there in the first half, so we ended up taping it up and it felt fine the rest of the way. That was obviously something that you just deal with.
"
"His finger began noticeably bothering him in the second quarter on a 38-yard touchdown throw to Terrance Williams, which is a reason he couldn’t handle a shotgun snap at the end of the half," Williams also noted.
Romo's health had been an issue earlier in the season after a back contusion knocked him out of action briefly in Week 8 and caused him to miss Week 9's loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
A short week didn't help Dallas when the Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Cowboys on Thanksgiving to take sole possession of first place in the NFC East.
However, the Cowboys rebounded, winning their final four games, capturing the division title and riding the momentum to a Wild Card Round victory over the Detroit Lions.
Now, Romo will have a chance to rest and recover as the Cowboys try to retool and make another run at the Super Bowl.
