The ecstasy of West Ham's win over Manchester City and continued ascent up the English Premier League table will quickly wear off with news that burgeoning star Diafra Sakho is dealing with a significant shoulder injury.
According to The Telegraph's Matt Law, the team is concerned Sakho will be out until after the next international break, which would mean him missing matches against Stoke City and Aston Villa.
Co-owner David Gold didn't sound encouraged:
Fortunately the international break will help lessen the effect of this injury, but it's still a blow for a player who has scored in his last six matches for the thriving Hammers.
