Joe Maddon Leaving Tampa Bay Rays: Latest Details, Reaction and Analysis

Manager Joe Maddon has led the Tampa Bay Rays to unprecedented success during his nine years at the helm, but his tenure has reached a surprising conclusion.

According to the Rays' official Twitter account, the 60-year-old skipper decided to opt out of his contract with one year remaining:
