Hunter Goes To Hospital After Loss to Texans

Tennessee Titans second-year wide receiver Justin Hunter went to the hospital following the team's Week 13 loss to Houston after possibly lacerating his spleen.

Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reported the news on Hunter's injury:

Hunter, 23, has been a weapon for the Titans this season after taking on a more heightened role in the offense. As a rookie, Hunter caught just 18 passes for 354 yards a four touchdowns. Expectations were high entering 2014, and although he has yet to truly break out, he has been much more potent in the passing game in his second year.

He's not always the most important part of the offense, but is a playmaker any time he catches the ball. One issue that he's struggled with for the Titans is his steadiness, as Adam Caplan of ESPN notes:

Not having Hunter on the field means more pressure on the running game to get going and be counted on more to score out of the backfield.

Luckily, the Titans have depth at the receiver position in Kendall Wright and Nate Washington. Both will need to step up, along with tight end Delanie Walker, to ensure the offense can be depended on.
